Recently I have noticed im getting less quality sleep, i am sleeping for the same amount of time and going to bed and getting up at the same time but the the quality of sleep is lacking.

I know that many outside factors can effect sleep (stress, diet etc) and its probably down to one of those. however I was wondering if anyone used a supplement to make the most of their sleep e.g. ZMA etc?

Cheers

400 - 600mg of Magnisium 20 mins before bed.

maybe add in some Ashwaganda if that doesn't help.....

I have also read papers that recommend removing all electrical appliances from your room, (might be a bit extreme but i guess the electro magnetic fields could potentially interupt your sleeping pattens !)

Alex Gold told me to do that a while back. I had one of those mini fridges in my room that made shit loads of noise, my sleep was terrible. It's in the garage now and I turn off most electrics before getting my head down

Anything with an electro magnet, speakers, power transformers etc. make a low level humming noise that mess with your sleeping if you leave them on. You might not even notice it unless you really listen, then when you turn it off you notice a new kind of quite and find your facial muscles relax when you didnt even know they were tense.

Also MikeL I dropped you a PM, let me know if you are interested.

that noise may be electrical interference and wireless routers / cordless phones are the main cause.

Nope, definitely tinnitus, had it for nearly 4 years now. I switch everything off at the plug at night in my room so as not to get any additional interference.

£30 for 400 capsules , take 5-8 25 minutes before sleep , it will put you in deep sleep quicker and stay there for longer, also it is believed to help with hgh production although maybe only at higher doses (15 capsules + ) , but a good nights sleep is very good for your overall health.

Deffo get sleeping problems checked out by a docter. i cant believe people actully buy overpriced supplements for basic human functions. Just like having a penis problem.. if you cant get it up dont take viagra, get it checked out.
the human body, should be able to shut it self down. if it doesnt you have a problem in you, or around you.

Theres a product on the market called Nocte. Tinnitus is a bitch. I listen to static sometimes when I sleep to help it.

I tried a sachet of Nocte, it's made by Science in Sport, can't remember if it helped or not, may try it again.
Do you just use headphones Wiegie for the static sounds?

I used to use a miniature indoor waterfall thingie and now I stick war films on my x box or bill and ted or anything like that. Even a fan does the trick because of the noise of the air.

Do you feel groggy with melatonin?

Depends, if I wake up naturally not really if I take it during the week and I get woken up by my alarm I feel a little groggy immediately after waking but it's gone by the time I've had my breakfast and a shower. I try and take it so I've got at least 8.5 hours from taking it until I have to get up which normally minimises it. I do occasionally wake up a couple of hours after taking it and feel pretty weird when that happens.

I've heard about taking 5 grams of taurine half an hour before sleep.

Never tried it myself so im just wondering if anybody has any knowledge or thoughts on this?
