When my waist hit 40, I did a "lets only eat shit that came out of the ground and shit that swims and is supposed to try and fly" type of thing. Both nutritious and uncontroversial in any way. I could train as hard as I wanted and I also became less of a fat fuck without being hungry or emaciated.
I don't suppose a week of this could hurt too much though. I'll probably give it a shot and weightwatch Nazi myself to death.

I'm pretty sure that saliva from actualy chewing food activates enzymes to aid digestion & absorbtion of vitamins etc.
juicing is second best.

Newsflash... Eating fruit & veg is good for you.

your body doesnt have to digest as much , thats the main advantage plus it allows you to eat more servings of fruit and veg in one go , and its a good way of eating veg , i have , 2 appless,3 carrots and a quarter pineapple in one go :)

Eating > Blending > Juicing

1. the fibre in the fruits help regulate the digestion of the sugars, without these (like in juice) you get a qucik large dose of sugar (may be benificial for post workout).

2. like Joat-Mon said if you drink it, you dont release as much digestive enzymes from your saliva, meaning you get less nutritional value from your fruit as less of it is absorbed.

So I conclude, juicing is 3rd best.
