Just had an email about this, new ready to drink protein shake lucozade launched...any one tried it ? Would be really handy if they price it right and supermarkets stock it.

I had the one they did in sachets, the recovery one, tasted awful and chalky ,but yeah if the price is right could be handy when not got time to mix.

all the pre made stuff is well expensive , i dont do protein shakes but sometimes have mrp's just buy a shaker , i will check out tesco tonight see if they are doing them and what the price is , makes sense from a mrketing point of view for them i suppose , they already have a huge base with lucozade.

They did sell all the sachets of Creatine plus the recovery drinks but then seemed to stop stocking them.

i think they are doing chocolate only in the ready to drink form at the minute. 500ml bottle is 395 calories and 22g of protein. Would be really handy if the supermarkets stock it.

this stuff cant exactly claim to be protein powder 4.4g per 500ml , thats very poor.

my home shake is 600ml skimmed milk with 100g of usn muscle fuel chocolate , i got is 40g protein and 40g carbs approx..

The issue with the overly commercial protein drinks right there detox. average punter might not be clued up so purchases the trustworthy brand name and gets an inferior product. The only 1s i forked out for were weider ready made shakes at tesco. 50g protein. problem was, every 5th bottle was sour! stopped stockin them i think. those drinks come and go without explanation.

Lucozade website says £10.75 for 6.

The protein content isn't an issue. 22g per serving is about the same as most protein shakse and adequate for either before or after training.

The issue is paying lucozade about £2 for what is essentially a pint of milk with a lucozade label on that you could buy for 40p.

it says 4.4g per 500ml so i am either mistaken , or your gonna drink 2.5l a serving.

4.4g per 100 ml mate, so 22g per 500 ml. As milk is 3.4g protein per 100 ml and it's 88% skimmed milk + some skimmed milk powder, you can see where the protein is coming from.

basically skimmed milk with a lucozade label on.

"Nourishment" all the way for me; a big, dirty can that you can club a man to death with and that isnt recycleable; what more could you want?!

Plus the banana flavour is the dogs too

I usually pick up a Yazoo from the garage next to our gym, they stock nourishment, but they now have 'nourishment extra' in bottles, choc flavour is very very yummy!

I stand corrected :), funny how the internet works, if you type in lucozade protein drink on google this page is like the 2nd or 3rd already .
