lol at tommys predictions 8 fighters between the ninjas and the grip and you think only 2 of them will win.??
We dont really lose that often, if we lose 4 out of the 8 on this show, il let you train at lanark for the rest of the year for free.

What was our record in May? I think DNFT and Griphouse went about 21-5 in May against opponents from all over the World from Sweden to Brazil and every corner of the UK. If I was at home and bored I'd try and work out our record for 2009 so far but I bet it's about 4 wins for every 1 loss if not better.

its better than that im sure

Funny how many people think he looks hittable, yet no one has hit him. As his coach i know all about the technical imperfections in his striking, ive coached him from scratch, after a while i stopped trying to make him do stuff by the book. He has a real attribute based striking game, that may appear technically weak but is in fact very very effective, the same way alot of top level mma fighters stand up appears technically shit and experts like you could pick to bits.
Turners 21 years old, is unbeaten in thai boxing and kickboxing fights (must b lucky) was unbeaten in semi pro, made his pro debut a day after turning 18 and has a pro record of 10-5-1
Some losses, but who hasnt, but look at who he has lost too, daniel thomas, kevin macaloan, martin begley and chris stringer all good fighters. Graham has never been beat up, made some mistakes against good guys and been caught.
keep watching him and thinking you could beat him, my bet is you'll never fight, if you do fight and it was against graham, other guys have ran there mouth off about what they where going to do to him and cam up short.

Go and fight him then, did you see him smash Bobby McVitie and Chris Carmicheal and Edgar?
Very disrespectful. Why single out myself chris and edgar? I know myself and chris both showed him respect after fights. No need for people such as your self to start making stupid fucking comments like that.
Allan Shrek
02-07-2009, 11:46 PM
3 Scottish lightweights he's fought pro that I could remember off the top of my head.
Wasn't meant to be disrespectful but he won all those fights by stoppage and although I didn't see your fight with him I saw him fight Edgar and Chris and he was never in danger in either of those fights. I reacted angrily to someone disrespecting a friend and team mate didn't mean to insult you, Chris or Edgar.

Well apology accepted. Personaly I respect graham as a fighter. My fight with graham lasted about 2.30 mins I felt and what I heard was I was winning up till graham took beat down position and he was too strong for me in that position. I dunno but I would say I had graham rocked a few times. But that's only my opinion from in the ring I might be wrong. But I say me and graham had a gd fight while it lasted.

03-07-2009, 12:10 AM
some guy filmed it, ive seen it a few times on a phone.
basically went like this,
bell went both guys came out was in clinch before anything landed, bobby tried to throw graham, he defended, bobby then launched graham with a judo throw (head and arm) landed in side then mounted, graham immdiately leg dragged to full guard with head and arm control, graham tried to hip bump sweep, bobby based and defended then clipped grahams nose with a right hand, cut his nose, (doctor reckons it may have been the corner of the glove due to the way the cut is) Graham went to sweep again made some space, bobby stood over him, graham stood up, bobby came foward with a big right hand that missed thankfully. Back into clinch, graham got double under hooks and threw bobby, settled in his guard with hip pressure and started landing some shots.ref stopped it after about 30 seconds.
Good fight, both guys should take the positive stuff from it. Graham was training the next night drilling returning to his feet and other options when having his opponent standing over him.
Main thing is both guys respct each other regardless of tommys piss poor trolling attempts

Graham Turner is undoubtedly one of Scotlands best. To achieve so much in such little time is nothing short of impressive. Any fighter that steps up to fight Graham has to be on his game or will definately get caught. Bobby McVitie is a fantastic fighter with a great future, but experience got the better of him when he fought Graham. But i'm sure Bobby will bounce back ten times stronger.
Tommylaughlin is a shit stirring tosser, perhaps even a chocolate channel ferry operator.
To come on this forum and call out one of Scotlands best is pretty fuckin stupid, especially since he says he's wanting to start his own shows and begin competing soon, one thing is for sure tommy, plenty of people will come to watch your first fight, and personaly i look forward to seeing you getting your arse handed to you on a plate.

You let yourself down there big time with that comment!
i know you apologised to Mcvitie for that qoute, but it doesnt hise the fact that it seemed to have a bit of spike in it, very very disrespectful.
From what I heard from friends from cumnock also, Carmichael fought Turner and never had a coach up till this point, and Under Willie Mcrachen seems to have taken strides.
I have seen a few of Graham turners fights, and he seems to be a really top fighter, and at the top in scotland.
As for this absolute moron TommyMcglaghlan, why dont you piss the fuck off you absolute kretin, on another post there, telling people that you were in the cells, who gives a shit.
you are causing chaos among fighters on this forum, obviously what you are looking for.

Pretty certain Chris was training under Wullie at that time dude, although it may have been a matter of weeks at the time
just to clear things up here i had never trained with wullie mckraken before the turner fight it was in the changing room after that fight that he invited me to train with him. thats when i learned huge things like posture and base, control the head when in triangles like the one i tried on turner but would never be able to lock it in because i let him posture up. wullie is amazing and has made me twice the fighter i was and since joining him have not lost a fight or went to a decision. the turner fight was my worst performance ever i never did anything right took the fight on same day weigh in which i will never do again. this is not an excuse graham is a quality fighter and i would say he has the best gnp from inside a guard in scotland like james said earlier he is better than he looks. i just dont want to be judged on what i know was a poor performance on my behalf.

Totally agree chris. As you know I was annoyed at you for quite a bit after that fight as the chris I knew didn't step into that ring but what's happened has happened. Done great last few fights. Hope it keeps going that way which am 150% positive it will as your learning and developing so much as a fighter and coach. Your like a fucking sponge wish I could soak up half the shit you do in triple the time it takes you. Remember you can only be judged on your last performance or should I say your next one. As when you step out that ring the fight is then in the past and you can only look forward to the future. Sound like a big girl here but you've been like a big bro to me. Respect for you will never leave me.
