I own a Wii game thingy, am I the only person that has never (apart from Wii) ever played a games console, Play Station X Box etc, everyone I know plays one or the other & spends quite a time doing so, I have seen them being played but it just seems boring to me.
What do you lot play, what do you get out of it & how many hrs per week do you spend on average playing them ?
Chris.

I used to love them as a kid but I went off them a few years back. I probably play about 5-10 hours every 3 months now... I might play an hour on a weekend if I'm bored or something, I'm much more into my forums now!!!

My dad though plays World of Warcraft religiously... 1 hour in the morning then when he gets home like 5pm until 10pm with all his workmates... I guess to me it sounds lame but then to him training to fight is lame, so I guess there's a fair point in that... I have heard of people who play like 12 hours a day... when I was a kid I'd play about 6.

I'm sure hookers and strippers don't either. They are dead inside as well.

Me neither (I have a PSP that I sometime play on planes to pass the time... I own one game on it!).

I can never understand the whole game thing. Surely there is countless other more productive things you can do instead. Train, work, read, learn an instrument, anything... playing a computer game is right at the bottom of the list, just below picking dead skin from the soles of my feet

I love picking skin off my feet, i take a few minutes everyday to do so.

I've not owned a console since the first Sega Master System. A games console is one of those things that i always think about buying (especially now the UFC game is out) but I just don't really see how I would fit it into my life as i've got very little spare time as it is. That makes the cost hard to justify to me.

Lots of my friends spend hours every day on consoles and can't believe i don't have one. In fact, most of them rarely leave the house now they can talk and play through Xbox live of whatever. Haven't seen any of them in ages.

I go through spates; i'll get a games console and I'll play a certain game solidly for several hours a day, for a few days; then put it down and not touch another game for ages.

I love computer games but don't have much time to play them. I've got an Xbox 360 but only own 2 games for it (Fallout 3 & UFC).

Used to love gaming when I was younger. If it the weather was mild rain or better I'd be out playing, if it was worse inside playing computer games. Oh for the days of no responsibility!

I play PC games only now, haven't owned a console for ages but might get a 360 for the new UFC game.

I mainly play RPGS like Fallout and Neverwinter Nights cos I'm a massive geek.

i havent bought a console since the ps2 first came out in 2000.
i used to play it all the time. but havent used it this year.
i gradually went from playing it every day for hours after school to only playing a couple of games (cricket and fifa) to never playing it.

still play games on the comp every now and then, play COD online and football manager.

The Neverwinter Nights 2 expansion was a pile of shite. Had to stop playing it.

Haven't played NWN 2 at all, is the main game worth getting?

It's alright from what I remember. Not the best of the genre, but as you are a fan of the original (I presume?) then it is worth a play.

Planescape Torment is still the cream of the RPG crop for me.

When i was freelancing/ working from home I used to play games like CounterStrike or Battlefield inbetween jobs or for a break.

I ended up in clans, running a server, administrating a huge forum etc.

Now I sooo cannot be arsed.
Id much rather play my guitar or go to the gym or something.

I've not worked for 3 weeks and haven't played a single game bar 2 goes of the UFC demo. When the weather was crappy and I was recovering I tried playing online. Every single person online is a complete cock. I don't see the attraction of getting my ass handed to me by someone who hasn't dropped a pair yet and practices 12 hours a day.

i play usually every night (nearly) for about 45 mins.
it's nice to spend a little time just doing something purely for fun, with no real aims or goals.
needs to be the right game though - just now i've been playing soul caliber 3 ps2 - before this i think it was resident evil 4.
i've got games i've had for years that i've hardly played, and others that i've been obsessed with at times!
if you find the right game for you, it will capture your interest (even if you're dead inside)

I think the last game I enjoyed was Blood Omen, apart from that, had a blast on Wii House Of The Dead and a mad Viking type game at my bro's on the PS3....I'd much rather spend time with my daughter !
