I had to start using won when I was living in london, as the tap water tastes disgusting due to the amount of chemicals used to treat it. Filters certainly improve the taste, but I very much doubt there are any health benefits to em.

iv got one .... do i use it .... do i fuck total waste of money u can buy a uv water purifier from camping shops u put in in ur glass for a minute and it changes colour when its done much cheaper and better use of space

I live in London, and whilst I do agree that the tap water isn't as pleasant as in some other parts of the country, I've never noticed any difference in the taste when using a water filter.
They tell you to do the 'Brita Filter Test' where you compare the clarity of regular tap water with filtered tap water. I did this test a number of times, and I saw no difference. I did blind taste tests also and couldn't taste any difference either.
