Going to put a power rack in my garden to save me travelling to the gym when I just want to do weights.

Does anyone have any experience with Powerhouse Fitness?

Anyone used any of theses http://www.powerhouse-fitness.co.uk/deluxe-strength-package.php ?

Cheers

Yeah, I got the power rack about a year ago. Just the rack - no lat pullies or bench and it was about £180. Does what it says on the tin and powerhouse were very efficient and good customer service.
Package seems a fair price if you need the lot - weights seem to have gone up a lot over the last year or so!
The rack copes with all the weight I use easily enough and shows no signs of wear. The pull up bar is useful and it is stable enough to do kipping pull ups if you add weight to the back of the frame.

I had a similar experience with powerhouse fitness. I'd never use them again.

Name and shame.

I guess it's down to the experience you've had. The reviews detox has linked to are bad but one site only had 6 reviews (not a huge sample). The other (first) site gives, for example, amazon.co.uk 2/5 stars:

I've been shopping with Amazon for as long as I've had the internet. I've bought hundreds of things from them and never had a problem! The review sites seem very skewed in as much as it is much more likely that a disgruntled customer will post.

I'm not saying powerhouse are great. I don't know - except for my own positive experience of dealing with them (and that was only once). They were far and away the most competitive for price though.

^^ you have a good point about disgruntled customers, personally i use ebay wherever i can and buy large stuff locally so i can go see it before i pay.
