How would you define a fair matchup ?

How would you distinguish levels of skill and expertise ?

Should there be age brackets for younger competitors ?

Ask questions and give your opinions on aspects of matchmaking.

And would you argee on using the US method of having matchmaker licenses too? I had one in Florida last year and i think i'm the only UK matchmaker to have an official license too :)

Also in the States you have to have separate licenses for promoters, matchmakers, managers and it is generally far more difficult to get fights approved, especally as in the State of Florida you have to enter your bouts at Battlebase.net to get them approved by the commission

That could complicate things in the UK , especally for 1 man bands and computer illiterate people's or guys who like to play "Gangster, Gangster MMA promoter" abnd generally don't llisten to do what anyone else tells them (you know the type)

The governing body would have to decide on the four topics as one person's definition of a fair bout is a total hospital bout to others.

I think age is the factor that worries me though as 18yr kids vs. 35 year old guys trouble me.

I think you would also have to think about experience in other sports too. M-1 somehow passed Soufian Elgarne 0-1 vs. Rob Broughton 9-4-1 on the fact that Elgarne has a very good Championship wrestling background and is also a boxer too.

In Florida i know the head of the commission has the final say but maybe a panel could be brought in to decide? However they would need to be available at almost a moment's notice to pass late fights.

Mano might be able to shed more light on this to as he works with the SMMAF who vetoed the Diego Gonzalez / Gunni Nelson bout last year ! Which i wouldn't of had any trouble promoting !
