Just bought this set and think it's really good. However, I keep hearing things about Brandon Quick that seem a bit concerning.

Have heard he's not really a brown belt under Eddie Bravo or anyone else for that matter.

Also, Eddie has kicked him out of 10th planet Jiu Jitsu.

Does anyone know what this is all about?

Is Brandon actually any good?

As I say, the techniques on the DVD look useful and reasonably easy to pull off (perhaps that's why Eddie Bravo kicked him out).

good teacher, poor competitor on the mat.

FWIW i think his DVD set is very good. however, his morals and trustworthiness are adifferent matter

I bought the DVD a few months ago and I like it. It's pretty good and his teaching is easy to understand. Was disapointed when I heard about him lying about his belt but it also made Eddie Bravo look a tool. (well more of a tool)

To find out the story on Brandon Quick just check out the Atama BJJ forum on the Underground.

Bloody hell Rob, every time you post a link to a big thread somewhere, I lose an hours productivity at work ploughing through it.

Worth reading the thread though. He does seem to lack basic fundamentals when you watch footage of him in competition but a lot of people's games go to shit under pressure. Just don't know how he thought he'd get away with it with all the BJJ police around.
