lol, at this very nasty RUMOUR.
Why would i have failed a CSAC Drugs test when the fight takes place in Dallas, texas, and all other commision drug tests i've taken in the USA i've passed.
Very said that people would try and slander my name because i have joined the UFC, Obviously some people see me as some sort of threat....I dont understand, why?

LOL,
If Paul did take anything illegal no way he could hide it because he'd look like Ronnie Coleman in 4 weeks lol
Not a nice rumor to have going around. Good to see Paul came on and squashed it quick

Having explosives in your hands is probably considered illegal by some, I'm sure Ludwig, Morgan etc complained, but it's a completely natural advantage.

Hahaha, i love forums, the home of the slanderous rumour-mill. As Pauly's already replied i won't go into how ridiculous this rumour is, but needless to say it's untrue.

There are rumors (legit ones, not just forum warriors)that other Affliction fighters failed their drug tests. So until it ever comes out who (if anyone actually did), I think every fighter will have this rumor made about them in the near future.

I'm not a big believer in following someone simply because of their nationality but that said, I am happy to see a lot more British fighters in the UFC as it shows the continued development of fighters over here (despite shows like Ultimate Geezer UK). Plus I like Paul Daley, I hope he does well.

Best reply ever! I'm sure some idiot has started this as they realise Semtex is going to tear through his opposition and is worried.

lol @ this
I thought all the tests weren't scheduled till about 4 days after Affliction's demise (least that's what it said on my itinerary
Most to the point how can a fighter fail a drug test in a State he wasn't actually in? Unless a dude from the CSAC flew into UK tested Daley then forgot to travel up the road to test Broughton ?? And with California's current budget crises that seems unlikely they would do that anyway.

why would daley be tested by the california state athletic commission for a fight that will take place in Texas? What a load of shit. The site that originated that should be sued or at the very least made to run a retraction and apology.

Well that was put to bed quickly. :D
I'm surprised people have such little understanding of the term 'libel' and still post such serious allegations.

crazy isnt it? If it was a more high-profile athlete we were talking about here, such as a Premier League footballer or county cricketer, for example, people would be drowning in solicitor's letters over this, even for perpetuating the rumour by citing the original report without any attempt at establishing its accuracy. Lots of bloggers need to read up on The Reynold's Defence.

^ are you implying that cricket is somehow not the pinnacle of athletic perfomance and endeavour? And that its athlete's don't need steroids to get them through their gruelling leisurely schedule that only allows for a one-hour tea break halfway through a game?

I think the thread is now irrelevant as Paul has said his piece
are you talking about me or the original source
I'm saying it's irrelevant whether or not the original source was a news site.
Libel is libel, regardless of who publishes the allegation.
