Plain old sugar is pretty shite nutritionally so I'd say honey.

I read as far as 'weight loss diets do not work long term for weight loss'.

Sounds like propoganda by the fatties to me.

no thats true.. in respect of any 'fad' weight loss diet, it has to be a lifestyle change

It's true though. Long-term lifestyle change (as Neil has said) is the solution to being overweight.

You should read that article, it's interesting.

Wouldn't honey thicken your brew? Would be weird drinking it. Can you not go without? I hate sugar in my tea!

I thought that but it actually doesn't, melts quite nicely.

Its awesome.

I know that it is a total lifestyle change and consistancy over time (plus hard, smart training and recovery) that makes the most difference, I was pissing about. However I dont agree with the low carb diet comments, I have used them to drop weight and I know plenty of people that have and the weight has stayed off. I think its attitude going that effects whether you put the weight back on.

As far as honey goes, Im trying to drink green tea instead (about 90% of the time) just now and again I have a brew. Has just wondering which is better from a nutritional stand point (the honey I am using has no nutritional values on the label)

use muscavado sugar instead of the white stuff, not saying its good for you but better than white sugar imho, but anything from bees is good for you honey , propolis bee pollen etc.

Agreed. You're only really getting about 3 callories a gram as opposed to the 4 callories a gram of refined sugar and on top of that you get minerals from the Muscovado. I think that coffee tastes far better with it. Haven't tried it in tea yet though.
