You taken a look at his leg? any cuts ect.. or does it look different from the rest? Might just but a little sprain or something.

Give it food + water too

I'd say you'll have to make a trip to the vets lol.

stop wasting time on a forum man !!! you would have been on your way by now an that hour would be 50 mins and counting.....

come on on man ! you come home with a suspected broken leg, would you just sit there till the morning waiting for your nearest hospital to open ?

get in the car, get to the vets an get the poor bugger seen to.....now !

human painkillers are toxic to cats to dont do nothing i suggest making the trip regardless sooner the cat sees a vet the better

can't get him in the box at all, he can't stand up! there is no way he'll cope in that box for an hour as it's to small to lie down in. he seems ok when lying down, surely it's better to wait 7hours or so as there's a vets 2min walk from me.

Do what everyone's dad threatened them with.

well if he lying there and seems content enough maybe that is best, just if it starts in the middle if the night or whatever .......

as said dont give it anything human related [ painkillers etc ]

maybe it would lie on blanket or summat in the car ? goodluck whatever - let us know how he is....

7 hrs is a long time when you're in agony - get a big card board box, poke holes in the top, stick him in it and you're off to the vet.

Go to the vet dude.
if the legs broke and moving about it could cause quite a bit of damage in there.

Put it in the box with a big blanket so it cant move around too much.

Isnt it a criminal offence to knowing allow an animal to suffer?

Im sure they brought it in for slightly different reasons than this , more to do with animals being seriously mistreated but not directly harmed resulting in them having skin diseases etc and not being took to the vets.

I did that. I broke my ankle once and decided to go home instead of going to the hospital because casualty is a nightmare at night. Drove 30 miles home, had some dinner, went to bed then went to the hospital the next morning. Still had to wait ages in casualty though.

I wouldn't care if the vet was 3 hours away I would be getting the little fella ( assuming he is male ) down there. He's probably been hit by a car and in shock still. Hope he's ok

mate you should see the money this shitbag has cost us

hip replacement £400

dislocated bone £200

got caught in a rabbit trap £300

had a big infection in his leg from fighting £250

got a piece of wood stuck in his back leg £100

he only cost £35, we went to buy one cat and found the one we wanted....then they said if you want to buy her you need to buy him (as they're brother and sister) so we thought go on then and he's been a little cunt ever since, constantly bringing in rabbits, mice even had a fucking frog left under my bed last month the other cat hasn't cost us a penny in injuries.

do love him tho ofcourse! he looks after me, he just needs to settle down as he's getting old abit and can't fight like he used to.

PMSL ! He has been through it. Sounds like a legend. Our cat got on the frog thing. Everyday we had a frog brought into the house. Me and the mrs woke up one morning to this slimy frog jumping around the bedroom. suffice to say at first we shit ourselves being in a daze and not knowing what the hell it was. then we found one underneath the sofa and underneath the fridge. i'd rather get rid of a spider than a frog.

just had to transfer him from one place to another and he was crying! felt pretty sad leaving him again, must be horrible penned up like he is. especially as he aint allowed to eat.

also all his claws have snapped off from where he's been dragging himself home. do they grow back?

that's sad. hope he makes a full recovery.

tangent... some silly cow at work had this 20-year old fucking cat which recently became so ill she had to put him down. She was trying to milk me for sympathy. I mean, come on. That little bastard has obviously had a better life than most cats, with that silly bint pampering him, he must have been rocking it. I gave her a load of sympathy - as much as I could stump up and she went off for the weekend to have him put down.

anyway, she's on holiday and writes to me at work on the monday... 'I'm so sad about my fucking cat, damn what will I do without this terminally ill cat in my life? I've got nothing to show for him now'

I'm all up for being nice to people, but she did my head in so I told her at least she had the empty basket as a reminder lol to be fair, I didn't say that. Wanted to though. Silly bastard.

My sympathy for Ian and his accident prone cat is genuine, I might add. Updates with photos would be a nice touch :)

got to keep him in 1 room for 8 weeks which is gonna be hard as he's out going.

Nice cat dude, glad it sorted out. My cat used to cost my parents a fortune as well from where he used to fight all the time (had a scrap with my ex 4 months old staff when she brought him over lol), so they had him castrated few years back and since he has calmed down a ton! He did put on a bit of weight thou since.

Ian23
13-09-2009, 09:59 AM
lol seems just like this cat!! will fight almost anything (maybe not a staffy tho...lol) but he's had a go at pretty much everything, proper boy type of cat. spends his time fighting, sleeping or shagging his sister (who don't like it and is underage) but brian don't care about that.

what type of cat do you have? this one used to be wild which is why i think he acts like he does.

i have a 10 year old staffy cats do him in all the time they are really soft hence why neds ditch them for akitas fuckers .....only reason u get agressive staffys is when the owners are fannies i have a 7 month old border terrier who from 6 weeks old would be all over him and still floors him no bother
