In Primary School I did Judo without a Gi.

Kinda pointless, it was run by some knobhead who claimed, worldwide Judo was the 2nd most popular sport.

judo is well up there in relation to most popular sports. It always fluctuates but it is very popular as a sport in countries with huge populations such as china Russia japan Korea brazil So that's where the figures come from.
