Hi all, just arrived in Barcelona for ADCC! Weather is great! Realy warm, clear sky, nice sea...
Staying at Princess hotel just next to the Hilton where all the fighters are staying. Am meeting Braulio at the airport tomorrow doing a mini film with him behind the scenes at ADCC! Will hopefully have time to edit on the go while here and post link up on this thread by first couple of days next week!
Let me know anyone coming over, be good to put some faces to names over a beer one night!
Will post more tomorrow as thats when the fighters arive...

Word of warning to anyone getting a taxi from airport... the ADCC site says it costs about £12, cost me about £24 and then was told at the hotel that was a cheap fare!
You can get soome sort of bus/rail pass for about £8 apparently, will find out for tomorrow.

Just had dinner with Braulio and Roger. Was in hotel lobby before and loads of commpetitors turning up. Marcelo Garcia, Jacare, Chris Cyborg... doing some filming later with some guys, then tomorrow have weigh ins and rules etc.
Off to beach now ;-)

Weigh ins went well, all made weight. Monson, Jacare both look huge!
Ricco looked real good shape, has lost loads of weight. Was with him couple of months ago and he looks like a different guy! Should be good to see him fight on form.
Press conf in half hour so will be back on later with any news...

I just bumped into ricco and monson on the harbour front. You're right: ricco is in good shape and monson is huge!

monson looked smaller to me than he used to be. had the most surreal day, ended up in an elevator with milton, renzo gracie, marcelinho and his wife and robert drysdale...had dinner with fabricio werdum (who has waking screaming dreams of being choke at 3am) and tea with kron gracie. saulo ribeiro introduced himself with "hi, i'm saulo" as if i wouldn't know. and roger nodded at me and said hello. had tea with cris cyborg, she's lovely...but michelle taveres took the piss out of my tshirt folding skills. all in all i have stalked a lifes worth of grappling stars today.
daihlo i have no idea what you look like, so i might even have seen you too!

dude, if you hang around the hilton where everyone's staying this stuff happens! lol and kron just happened to run into us eating and decided t join us for pizza. today was good, chatted with marcelo garcia, got pic and autograph, and watch some badass fights

Today was amazing. Kron v Marcelo was the best match today for me. Had a photo taken with every big name there too aswell as my hero Renzo!!!! Braulio, Popovitch and Garcia all looked amazing. Ryan Hall did well against Leo Veira and was sad to see him lose!
Oh and Vinnies flying armbar on Pe De Pano was sick!

I think this maybe Popvitch's year finally.
Two time runner up to Marcelo Garcia. So I'm sure all he's thinking about is a strategy to beat Marcelo.
Popovitch walked through both of his fights, he looked really impressive and like a friend of mine pointed out; he's been competing alot lately and winning. Tommorow should be an amazing day of bouts.

excellent day, wont give any spoilers for those who havnt seen the fights!
Kron V Marcelo was a great fight, Jacare V Drysdale was excellent - reminded me of old pride where you could hear a pin drop! (apart form Werdums crowd with the drums!)
Some upsets, some great fights, at least one flying armbar...
Will be uploading the 'behind the scenes footage' when its all over...!

What an amazing day!
As the results are already posted and other threads are on here with Braulio wins int he title, guess this is not a spoiler!
Al I can say is an amazing weekend of the top fighters bringing the top fights.
Braulio was just in the zone, had some VERY difficult opponents and brought the fight every time. Weight winner and Absolute winner in absolute style!
Will be puttin some backstage footage and behind the scenes with Braulio online asap! Just off out to party up now ;-)

How was his fight with Garcia?
Jacare won 2-0 (takedown). He got a few other takedowns but in the non-points scoring time period. There was pretty much no action on the ground.
Didn't see Braulio's absolute matches as I wasn't at home, but I'll be watching them on VOD when they get posted.
He smashed Galvao in his weight category final though... that was awesome.

One of the best weekends away I've ever had! Shame about the lack of food though yesterday, I was starving when the Absolute came about :D
Braulio was the most impressive guy there for me, smashed everyone he faught. Mendez also deserves a shout for his match against Cobrinha, the technical jits on show there was amazing! Gunni showed why he got an invite after an unlucky first round match and Monson is the most boring grappler alive: fact.

Lots of the fight links will have been taken down now as the PPV team have the rights for the footage for 2 weeks. After that it goes to the DVD team!
I did get a bunch of backstage footage as well as some with Braulio that I was permitted to use so will be posting that up later today hopefully.
Was a great weekend!

I mean look at all the attention Drysdale got for just winning ADCC Absolutes two years ago and Demian Maia for winning his weight division.
