All the radio station/newspapers have been talking about this poor bastard who got rushed by this group of women. Apparently in court the man said he wouldn't defend himself as he is inculcated not to hit a woman.

I can't understand it personally as if there was more than one woman attacking me it could be extremely dangerous and so I would have no worry about not using maximum force to defend myself.

So would you defend yourself from a woman and why do some men think it's unccceptable to hit a woman in any circumstances?

On a more serious note, I saw a group of young chav girls fighting with a securty guard in a supermarket a while ago after he'd got one of them back in for shoplifting, and they were all over him.

I seriously thought about helping as the security guard clearly wasn't wanting to actually fight back, but when another dude did help out by grabbing and trying to restrain one of them, another one pulled out her keys and started stabbing at his arms and his neck with them. Fuck that.

Yes i would hit her back. I feel strongly about this because if anyone hits you, you should give as good as you get or better. But, saying this i feel the courts would have a different view and always favour the woman in this situation. At the end of the day if she feels big enough to attack you you should show her whos boss and how small she really is.

that's not to say i wouldnt treat a bird different to a bloke, i.e. i wouldnt ever slap a bird just for mouthing off, it'd take far more provocation from a bird than it would a bloke for me to slap them. plus the force/venom and continuation of any strike on a bird would be minimal.

but if a women is coming at me swinging i would give them a slap. it wouldnt be like it would to a bloke (trying to knock them out and giving them a right hiding), it'd be probably a back hand or open palm, i'd only ever close fist, full power smack a bird if she had a weapon and was trying to use it.

walking away, refraining them or pushing/throwing them out the way would all come first before id consider throwing a hit, and the hit would never be a full strength punch unless the situation warranted it.

i certainly wouldnt say id never hit a bird, not in this day and age.

Way I see it though, if she acts like a lady she deserves to be treated like one. If she acts like a man, she deserves to be treated like one.
