Looks like BJ couldn't give a rats about who's on the 'banned sponsor' list. It takes a fighter of this level to make a stand, because if it was a lesser name, Dana would blackball them!
I think it's wrong that the UFC are banning sponsors who can't pay them $100,000 for the 'rights' to sponsor a fighter....and even worse when they ban the likes of RVCA who CAN pay the money just for making a t-shirt for Fedor!
Good for BJ.

They lost BJ when he beat Hughes at 46 due to disputes..
Basically BJ doesnt care about rules, RVCA have been good to them and he wears them all the time, so he isnt gonna roll over.

From a business perspective I see where the UFC are coming from. They show by far the most high profile and most watched MMA cards in the world.
If a company gets their products plastered all over the fighters fighting on UFC cards, then it's excellent exposure which will guarantee a much higher profile and result in increased sales/profits.
Why shouldn't the UFC get a cut?

Good for BJ. The UFC pay the lower level fighters way too little anyway, to prevent them from obtaining sponsorship from other sources is out of order in my opinion.

I don't think it's because of that mate, they will pay the cut but I think it's because they made a T-Shirt for Fedor.

90% of all mma gear is wank, rvca is one of the few ones that arent.

Probably because RVCA concentrates on the surf/skater market.
I thought they first sponsered BJ due to his obsession with surfing
As an asside, the UFC makes quite enough money on PPVs and ticket sales, taking money off their already underpaid fighters through taxing and banning sponsers is just plain greedy!
UFC sucks!
