Potential MMA exposure on mainstream TV

A little birdy spread me a rumour that MMA will be featured heavily on Big Brother's Little Brother at 1.30pm on Channel 4 tomorrow...don't know how they will represent the sport, especially at that showing time and live, but hopefully an attempt will be made for a positive representation...

I do know that former BB winner Brian has had a day's 'Cage Fighting Experience'...so it will definately be a fun portrayal!

So I guess Alex's efforts are starting to bring MMA more to the mainstream...

Did you hear Dane Bowers say that Alex Reids record was false? What does he know? Alex is come across as a nice guy and not the thuggish image most relate to 'cagefighting' but i'm finding that others in the house others are trying to put him down for no real reason, even Vinny Jones is saying stuff all the time, i know it's said as joke but it's getting a bit much. Alex is not rising to the bait....for now, but i can't see him keeping his cool if it carries on. Don't know him myself but the little snide remarks might start p*ssing him off, it would me.

Alex Reid is a really nice guy, l met him on the open circuit years ago, he got involved with the kick jutsu years ago and l coached and cornered him on a clash of the titans show a good few years ago and when l held the pads for him, his power and speed was amazing, his fight record might not be brilliant, but he would step up and fight anyone and to me thats a warrior, l just smile and wish him all the very best.The way that he handled that actor Stephen Baldwin when he was telling Alex how to hold pads hit etc. Me personally would have knocked the cunt straight out, cheeky bastard, but then l am not always the gentleman that l have always found Alex Reid to be.

I personally have only seen it twice and only cos Alex is in, honest.Lol. To be honest i liked vinny at the beginning, but now i just think he's a chav/bully and hates the thought of someone being harder than him. On Big brother talk show that was just on (sat Night) some of the audience were saying that Vinny is a 'real man' and Alex is trying hard to be a 'man', this being Vinny the footballer/actor probably never had a 'real' fight in his life and Alex who has fought some tough opponents and done well inside the cage! These people have no idea what it takes to get in there. I don't know Alex but hearing stuff like that winds me up! Think Alex would be more than justified to put Vinny in his place which ever way it's needed. His remarks are getting a bit much and people are even talking about it now.

The studio was actually warm, and they seem to 'blag' the show a little, getting lots of stuff set up and then seeing what they actually go out with at the time, depending on how the show was running...

I was set up either for some additional questions, and was in my fight gear as we also may have done a mickey take out of Baldwin, teaching him how to throw a proper punch...

Col did really well, it could have been me or him up on the desk, and they grabbed Colin with no real advance warning, and no idea of the questions - he did really well thinking on his feet so quickly!

Brian is a top lad, don't underestimate him. Still only 22, he seems to know the business really well now, and is incredibly well grounded. He is also very, very intelligent (I know, nothing like his tv 'persona'), alot of fun, and a top lad. He has the utmost respect for our sport too, and is backing Alex as much as he can.

Dizzle wizzle was a nice lad too, and warmed up nicely when he had a bacon butty inside him!

A very revealing day, especially when in the back room were just me Colin, Brian, the magician, Dizzle and his manager, George from the Sun, Scot Mills, and the etiquette lady from Ladette to Lady (Ivana's representative), some good insider knowledge now on how the show runs, and quite fun too!
