They never do seem to be recruiting do they, It shouldn't mate, I think it stays on your record for 10 years, not sure though. but it also depends on which caution it was. if it was a formal then it will be 10 years. but a conditional caution means as soon as the fine was paid, or conditions of it were settled, it gets wiped. its given to offenders who aren't likely to offend again. So just depends really. We've got a few members who are in so they will be able to give you a better answer than me mate. Just speaking from experience with cautions.

I applied last year. Whilst you dont need to be a PCSO to get in i would say that it significantly improves your chances. Around 90% of the applicants on my test day were PCSO's. I dont know about the caution, as far as i know its only an actual criminal record that would cause you problems.

Do you HAVE to be a PSO now to join as they never seem to be recruiting. Also anybody know if getting a caution ten years ago for afray will stop my chances of getting in the force?
