How high can pro fighters box jump, looking at some guys on the internet getting above 60 inches, seems pretty impressive....

do any of you guys use box jumps?

I used to do loads a few years ago, had a decent vert from all the basketball I used to play. I managed 6 reebok steps stacked on top of eachother. Fuck knows how high it is though.

6 of those stacked at the lowest hight is about 90cm.
On the highest that'd be about 150cm. Not bad dude!

I just checked the vid of me doing it and it was actually only 5. So 125cm dunno if thats any good, its canny high though. I tried to touch the rim of a basketball hoop tonight ( which I could do with ease a few year back ) and failed miserably. Old joints I guess. :(

I'm actually fairly good at vertical jump. My current best is 65" and that's actually my height too

thats pretty fecken awesome mate! It should be relative to your height imo, i.e. how high you can jump measured against your own body not how high full stop.

we were doing them the other day and i managed about nipple height and thought that was good till i read that lol :D

Thanks man :)

Yeah, I'm quite pleased with it. Took a lot of work, but I was determined to jump my own height by a certain date and I made it.

Course, I'd happily be able to not jump my height....if I could be a bit taller :(

do we count the box jump if there is a few step invloved before the jump or does it have to begin with a static squat? seems to be some confusion on the internet?

ive always maintained it has to be feat shoulder width and only a slight bend of the knees, thought thats what a box jump was?!
