Or whatever it's called. Little dip / pull up bar thing that clips onto your door frame. Would never be any use to me as I work in a gym and can access a dip / chin station whenever I want. Saw them for £15 as I was shopping the other day, was in a rush so didnt get time to check the box.
Question is...Can they actually stick to the doorfrmaes properly. I can't work out in my tiny little brain how the fuck they cling to that shitty little piece of wood above a door and support your bodyweight.
Also am I wrong in thinking you can dip with them, probably am as your head would just hit the ceiling but I'm sure I saw it on tv or something.

Think it would work like a pullup bar, they can hold alot of weight.
And i think it moves up and down the doorframe to what excercise your using, so you dont bang your head.

My mate has one.
He said it attatches and detaches very easily, so yeh you just move it up and down the frame for each excercise.
EDIT: you actually put it on the floor to do the dips.

I use one of these lads, awesome bit of kit for home circuit training, you can do dips on these, but on the floor. As well asd wide arm press ups which are good for your back. I only use it jamie as Im skint and i can't be getting a gym membership as i cant afford it so i do running, circuits, thai and BJJ instead of gym sessions instead of home circuits. I don't know how much use this woud be to a guy who works at a gym mate.
You can also do hanging leg raises which are fucking killer, dead man hangs to improve grip, under arm and wide arm pull ups, and power pull ups (pulling up and crunching at the same time i.e knees to chest and pull yourself up in a ball.
I've not used the one your going on about, but this is the one ive got and its a good bit of kit alongside other circuit excersises.
EDIT: http://www.amazon.com/Iron-Gym-Total-Upper-Workout/dp/B001EJMS6K I think this is the one your on about Jamie, correct me if Im wrong.

Looks nice that one Ross. Its practically the same as what I'm on about you see him loop it behind the frame on tv, piss easy. How exactly does it lock on though thats what's confusing me ?

No worries mate it confused me, and even the first time i used it i was shitting myself incase it came down. Its physics, i can explain it but i dont fully understand it lol.
It hooks under, and onto the little ledge on the other side of the door (the white ledge if you look at your door you ll see what i mean) And it touches either side of the door. It basically pushes on the frame, and also pulls backwards with the same motion (from the little fold out clips on the other side) so by pushing and pulling using your body weight it holds it in place. It doesn't damage the frame, and can be moved so the missus doesnt go mad about having to duck everytime she goes in the room :)
If you like mate I can bring it in on wednesday if your going to be there and you can have a blast if Rob will let you put it up. Let me know and I'll bring it along, try before you buy sort of thing.

I basically do
20 triangle press ups
20 sit ups
10 wide arm press ups
20 v sit ups
15 normal press ups
20 knees to chest
7 wide arm pull ups
15 triangle press ups
20 sit ups
20 wide arm press ups
20 v sit ups
15 normal press ups
20 knees to chest
15 leg raises (on pull up bar)
10 underarm pull ups
20 triangle press ups
20 sit ups
10 wide arm press ups
20 v sit ups
15 normal press ups
20 knees to chest
7 wide arm pull ups
3 sets of that, just change it around either way, very good bit of kit though, and this circuit keeps me fit when im not in the gym, alongside thai and bjj of course, and running. Ive had to put the numbers down recently as i didn't do much over christmas and lost a lot of my phys. But i will get back there lol.
I think the fact that its reasonably versatile and there are things around the house you can do to replace gym workouts. a bag in the garage, a pair of running shoes, kettlebells maybe, a space for circuits and the will to get fit. You wont go far wrong. (especially in these tight money crecit crunching times)

LMAO! Dave, I meant. I was thinking of his second name. mcROB, made a balls up haha my bad. Yeah i knew it would turn into a testosterone filled contest. Make them wide arm pull ups though. Mans pull ups, none of these gay underarm just using your bicep and chest.

Hahaha thats the one I was thinking of IRON GYM ! Practically identical to the the others like, just a cooler name. They were in wilkinsons for £15 they had loads, will prob dropped to a tenner by now. I might even get one for days when I'm off work and just wanna do a few pull ups when I wake up.

No shit sherlock. I meant how the hell does it lock onto the doorframe, normal pull up bars extend and screw until they're wedged between the frame. This is obv a lot different to those old pull up bars.
Ross has cleared it up now anyway even though I still dont understand how it doesnt move forward and slip off the edge.

them perfect push up kit, could double up as knuckle dusters, if you get pulled by the coppers just bust out some push ups

If you look closely at the picture, part of the clips are on the edge of the frame whislt the other part is pushing on to the frame, so your body weight is sort of clamping it

That one you can take down and use to do tricep dips and press ups on looks boss. Might order one tonight.

you can do 3 wide grip :O after 10 press ups?!?!?! You beast...
:P hahaha! cheeky bastard. Nah i do that whenever i can't get to training or whatever. I will start building on my training the fitter i get, but at the minute I can't even do them scores, never mind them and then a thai or BJJ session on the night. I would be fucked, don't wanna over train.

Mcgovern has cracked it Jamie, there is around an inch either side of the frame, and the clips that go forward, underneath. Pushing and pulling at the same time.
