When I saw the title of this thread I was reminded of a company sign I saw in South Africa- Schindler's Lifts. I'm super serial. Damn near pissed myself.

Bench 90kgs
Squat 100kgs
deadlift 140kgs
Weigh 73kgs.
Trying to mix up the way I train now though, started out a few years ago with a "body builders" type routine and don't think that will be that great when it comes to fighting.

About to start a strength training programme (i.e. low rep, heavy weight) this week after doing 3 x 8's for a couple of months.
Tried out my 4 rep max's tonight to see where I am at and had the following:
120kg bench press (down to chest and back)
145kg deep back squat (thighs just below parallel)
210kg lever dead lift (I tend to use the lever, which makes it easier, as it is a hassle loading an empty bar by yourself).
Weight 95kg.
I was grunting loudly doing these!

I find I spend so long pissing about loading a normal barbell for deadlifts in my gym that I get pissed off with it. I therefore just load up this with plates and it saves a lot of time. Same movement, but you can only go perfectly straight up and down, meaning it makes it a bit easier (less stabilizers involved).

Is that deadlift maxing out? Just seems a bit of a weird figure, considering I'm weak as piss and deadlift about 130kgs for 10 reps, and my bench is like 70kg max. Can't squat for shit.

Since concentrating more on Cardiovascular and doing more Grappling & Bag/Padwork i'd have to assume that these lifts may have dropped as my weight has dropped, but they were like this for 3-5 Reps:
My Height and weight: 6"3 .. 85kg
Bench Press: 140KG (3 Reps) Incline: 110KG (3 Reps)
Squat: 165KG (5 Reps)
Deadlift: 165KG (5 Reps) .. For some reason I've had a pinching pain by the left side of my groin if i go too heavy, though i believe i have enough strength to DL more.
I Generally never have spotters and therefore I don't tend to try a #1 Rep Max.

before injury at 77, 5 6"
bench 105 (actual)
Squat 150 (calculated from 5RM)
Dead 186 (calculated from 5RM) although I would have need staps for that lift as my grip is shoddy.
I now have screwed my lower back twice and am not planning to squat heavy or deadlift for the rest of 2010
For some reason my worst lift are wide grip chins. I can barely do 3 x 5 of them and my best was 3 x 8 when i was training intensively.
I'm now hovering around 80 KGs and planing to drop weight to 73kg by the end of the year and concentrate on sport

I think of it like this, Strength is the equivelent to horse power in a car. It doesn't make it faster, but it provide more potential power to utilised in that said vehicle

I need to get into a proper routine of lifting again, I've got it all in the house and have just been nipping through to do some various lifts whenever I get bored. Any suggestions on what sort of routine I should be doing, mixing up the following:
Deadlift with my trap bar
>Just started using this and have been doing 3x10 with 40KG but am going to move it up to 60KG or something later on today, I just put 40 on to see what it was like and it doesn't seem a lot
Benchpress with a standard 7ft barbell
>Just moved the weight up on this yesterday and may have over-done it lol. Currently have 40KG on there and can maybe do 2-3 reps at a time. Maybe 2 sets of that with several minutes inbetween lol :o
Other things I've been doing but not recently, so don't have any figures: military press & bicep curl with an EZ-Bar (was using about 20KG and doing 10 & 20 at a time respectively but could probably move that up now as I've put on about 5lb since stopping). Shoulder press & tricep extention with a dumbell (was using about 8KG but again have not tried since putting on a bit of weight).
Other than that I've been doing press ups (4x25), Ab Ripper X (http://www.ehow.com/how_4505064_ab-ripper-x-workout-px.html) & alternating every 10 reps for 4 sets single-leg dips between 2 chairs.
Any idea for a good work-out regimin/change of sets & reps to help increase strength and muscle size? Edit: I'm about 63KG just now

I would add in squats, Over head or other wise. Remember a 7ft bar will way about 20k. your lifting that to, so thats a 60K bench.

This website lists almost all the exercise you can do, with little gif's too show you form and details of what muscles are worked, linked to the power training pages but have a look at the whole site its worth it.

Yes mate equipped, if I lift raw I tend to go a lot more narrow on the squat. Some workouts I will go up to 300kg without knee wraps just belt. For deadlifts I have pulled 340kg without a deadlift suit, its floating about on youtube somewhere lol. I'll be at the NEC going for the British record saturday ;)

I compete in powerlifting and have done since 1999, I train in Wado Ryu karate and started bjj and judo a few months back. I do find I'm knackered if train both on the same day but try to fight through it. I tend to deadlift heavy on fridays over 320kg and I feel fine to roll the next day if I get a good night sleep and a good breakfast 90mins before.
I plan to compete karate and bjj in the next few months after saturdays powerlifting show at the NEC.

Cheers Chris and The Natural!
I really wanted to compete in powerlifting and was just making my 1st go at it when i injured myself again.
I dont really train the same anymore TN. now i do 1 day conditioning/circuits, 1 day explosive lifting (Powercleans, MD ball slams, push press etc) and 1 day Heavy lifting(5x5, 5x3, 3x3) using bench, DLs, front squats.
I havent found it an issue with thai boxing or wrestling but i havent tried bjj properly yet. I make sure my heavy lifting day is before a day off too.

I must add that i never go as heavy as the above any more, I just don't find the positives of me going that heavy outweigh the negatives for me personally (i.e. joint damage etc)
