View Full Version : sports injuries article feedback?

I want some honest feedback on my article about sports injuries
I know its a biggy at over 3000 words but I value all your opinions and I want to know what you honestly think?
I'm thinking about submitting pieces similar to this to magazines (NOT including fightmag :curse: ) so please tell me, do you think it reads well enough to be published?

Where abouts is the article? I'm stressed with exams so please forgive my ignorance and general retardedness. I'll review it after my exam tomorrow if I get time.
Why not fight mag?

its in the general forum, a few posts from the top
i'm not giving anything to fightmag cos i did the chris brennan interview for them, and i said i wanted something in return cos SFUK "look after me" so I said its only right they do he same- I wasn't asking for money, I said a copy or two of the mag and a tshirt and i'd be happy. Paddy said yeah no problem, So i sent him the piece and I haven't heard from him since.
what makes it worse is when people in the gym had free copies and asked me "have you seen your article?", "er, no i haven't actually"
makes me look like a fucking muppet
i'd keep contributing for them but after that i can't be arsed. i'll stick to writing for the professionals.
thought the mag was a bit shit anyway :bored:

Good stuff, had a quick skim of it the other day. There was only one comment on it but I can't remember it at the moment (exam stress). I'll have another read of it after tomorrow. Like the greco article too.
A point raised by carl that now him and jim are out of the scene there's an opening for event reporters in the UK. On a related matter my subscription to FCF has just expired and with this isuue lacking any UK news by jim I'm not going to be renewing it.
Have you tried contacting them to write event reports for them? It'll get you free entry to uk shows, and a foot in the reporting door.

yeah I thought about FCF as well- it might be worth getting in touch with them about getting on the payroll!
like i said any points about the injury article please let me know :)
btw the greco seminar was awesome. i'll have a few more photos going up in the next day or two- i'll put them in the wrestling forum.

Excellent read as usual Doc, very informative & will surely be an asset to people to know which way to turn for treatment. Once again well done & we are constantly greatful to you for your input.
P.S Regards the report on the title gloves I sent you, I feel it is our duty to say it the way we see it, I could never ask you to compromise your opinions, so run with your article, If title are offended then they should simply go back to the drawing board, If I loose the sponsorship then it was never meant to be as I will not compromise my beliefs or opinions either. Please keep up the good work.
