Hi all.
I thought I would drop a quick thread in here as a complete noob to introduce my self and get some feedback from you locals. Hopefully it till be the right sub-forum.
I'm currently a regular gym going 24 year old with an above average fitness level. I train weights at least three times a week (a generall all body work out, including the main compound moves) I do cardio 3 or four times a week, playing football once a week or so.
I'm looking for a new fitness challenge so I've been looking around at gyms in Leeds and the idea of taking part in Thai boxing class at Golden Team Gym, to learn the sport and improve my fitnness for the sport over the rest of the year, and then maybe looking into sparring/fighting in 2011.
I just wanted some feedback on making the change from a normall gym goer to a brand new training regime and what I can do during my normal gym routine to help any Thai boxing training, and what I can expect from a Thai boxing class (I have e-mailed the gym but nothing back from them so far..)
Also if there is anything I can be reading/watching/websites to learn about the sport and the training/conditioning behind the scenes that would be great.
Cheers for any help
