I would like to know if there is a way to shrink your legs while still maintaining and improving strength on the squat and deadlift? I don't even know if it is possible but I am serious.

you can have smaller legs and be stronger, but doing both at the same time would most likely be impossible or unlikely unless you are really weak already

Nah I'm not really weak, especially in my legs. Maybe more sprint based hiit might do it? 3-5 times a week? Need ideas. Legs are too big.

this is a bit of a womans own question, you can't choose where to lose weight from.

are you skinny or chubby (not a fatty, but you know not ripped)?

you can't choose where fat comes off, so i wouldn't go to urban outfitters for those skinny jeans just yet

I'm 17 stone. I should also mention that 8 years ago I was 12 and a half stone and still needed 36 inch jeans, because my legs have always been quite big. The only reason I want them smaller is because it's affecting my cardio cause of too much lactic acid, sprints are fine it's trying to jog that's a pain. Legs start to feel REALLY heavy.When I take up thai boxing I'm afraid it may slow my kicks down.

Being a big lad your legs get a fair work out on offense. i have bad knees so i don't run much and i'd advise the same with you, unless your body can take it.

the best solution is lose weight. even if you found some advanced way of make just your legs shrinking i bet you would lose more leg size overall with a solid consistent weight loss plan

Actually I have prety good knees. I can do box jumps and hill sprints on pavement and I've never had any knee trouble.

Anyway, back to the advice, go on a diet and you legs will shrink, you have very little control on the proportionality. Also it a bit of weight lose might make you more friendly and less insecure.

You're an idiot. I never said I was fat. Do you know what muscle is little boy? My combined squat and deadlift is 320kg, so I'm pretty confident I could drop you on your head and split your head open spilling your tiny little brains.

if you can only lift 7% more than me and you weight nearly 50% more. thats not something i would boast about. Particulary if thats all muscle.

Even you were to come an attack me and smash me like you say, you must take great pride in beating down on some so much smaller. I'm not sure if this is pie or roid rage. Either way take a chill pill, or a diet pill. whatever works for you.

I've never used steroids in my life. I don't use any supplements, And I'm tall and long limbed which makes it harder. And I eat less then 3000 kcals a day, naturally big. And you're still a dickhead.

Ok for the last time.

You need to lose weight to get smaller thighs. It's hard to dicate growth. getting bigger, even harder getting smaller. You can't localise things that instrinsically linked to the overall system. You pretty much have to deal with what you have got genetically.

Food, suppliments, training, drugs, what you do I don't care, i've checked the forum, all the answers on here, what you do is your decision, it doesn't matter. you need to aim to lose mass.

Yeah I will lose a little weight , but through intensive cardio. Tried dieting a couple of weeks ago. Can't make strength gains on a diet. Fuck dieting, energy goes out the window for example, I cut carbs out of my dinner for six months and no weight loss. Their back in now cause I'm training harder and they help me recover faster without any weight gain.

On the subject of my numbers not being that ahead of yours, the squat is essentially a body weight exercise so I have to lift my weight first then the weight on the bar. Sprints and running will probably shrink my legs a little because they will be used so much.

I was drinking a lot when I wrote that threatening message but then again you were acting like a prick. You want to call it even so we can both stop bitching like a couple of school kids?

Oh and rob t, I don't really like arguing online, I'd take being an MMA warrior over an internet warrior thank you.

P.s. It was a reasonable question, I've read how over training can shrink muscle so no I did not deserve it for enquiring about a problem.

I'm not stalking, i read the general forum, and i have the IQ to remember someones name and whether that wrote something silly. Likewise if you are a bright man you can see that i normally off leaned contructive advice particulary on training and the occassion bit of banter when people let their guards down and are an easy target, but are an overall plesant chap.

I'm always evaluating my diet and how I train. Same goes for exercise technique.

The reason I ask peoples opinions is BECAUSE I have an open mind, not because the lack of it. You have me AND my intelligence pegged wrong and I don't really feel like wasting my time trying to justify myself to someone who doesn't know me.

The last thing I am looking for on here is validation.

I think you are the one with the big ego, I don't think enough of myself to have a big ego but you're always right I take it. I don't think I am always right, I don't have that kind of arrogance, and any opinions I have are based on my own personal experience.
