I'm looking to get one of these to mix up my morning cardio a bit and to do some bag work in the evenings.
I have seen http://www.fitness-superstore.co.uk/stands_and_brackets/tko_heavy_bag_stand_with_adj_speedbag_platform_gra phite/7677_p.html
I've seen it in the flesh and I can see kicking the bag an issue as the metal bits stick out really close to the bag.
Is there another one you can recommend for around the same price? Having a bag inside my house is not an option so this really is the only way. I also like the idea of a speedbag.
Thanks

Dont buy it ~ they are shit
You have to put weights on the base to keep it from moving so if you make a mistake then its a broken foot or worse.
Try putting a heavy bag on it and see what happens when you give it a good crack.
Need more information on were it can go ~ what space you have etc.

Hi mate, thanks for the reply.
I plan on having it in my garden so space is not an issue in that sense. Will either go on a concrete base or a wooden base on the lawn.
It will be outside but would have something put over it everyday/night to protect it.
Thanks

Right ~ if its outside then you need to go with a frame.
Think of a swing set ~ same idea ~ 2 steel posts with a cross member. If you paint and seal it then it does not need covering - you just need to cover your bag.
Check out your local steel supplier or fabricator, any guys that make gates.
You need to drop the posts into the ground at least 2 feet and have a 7 foot height and at least a 4 foot span.
the best way to discribe it would be a set of goal posts with hooks on it.
The quality will be better and if you go with cash in hand they will do a deal.
Dont buy this designer shit they are crap and a waste of money for the serious Martial Artist.
hope this helps but again ask any more questions ~ always doing stuff like this in my own private space and the guy I use is great. ( based in stockport )

Cheers mate, do you use water or sand in yours? Is it easy to knock over?
Thanks bud.

filled it with water (only so it was easier to drain when the time comes)....and fook no! it weighs 250lbs or more. I was hammering it and you will not knock it over
if anything i much prefer it to my heavy 6ft bag which swings about
only downside is cost! And also check its waterproof/weatherproof. The company are really helpful if you email them mate (i dealt with a fella called Marco)
