not really a fan of men's health, information contradicts from one page to next and descriptions and instructions never marry up with images used

Mens health is borderline gay, it is a white middle class magazine for office bods. Just my opinion.

Men's health is to informative training journalism what 'Shazza luvs jizz' written on the wall of a public toilet is to classical literature.
Beyond Brawn, McRobert- Awesome.
Starting Strength , Rippetoe- Also awesome. You can find details of this program online.

I stayed on this work out for 6 months and only needed to rotate a few lifts as a i stalled. Mainly rep schemes for the presses.
I'm not a fighter so can't recommend cardio with evidence to back it up for the ring .But when I was playing semi-pro rugby. Sprinting increase my both my aerobic and anaerobic capacity more than anything else. It also toughened me mentally
I used to play for Saracens youth team and we finishied training sessions once a week doing 100m x 7, 80 x 7, 60 x 7, 40 x 7, 20 x 7 in 3 man shuttle runs.
The first time i puked, the second i almost passed out again, the third I embraced it.
the following year I went from being a decent county play to being a starting for London and the south East in the divisional tournaments from which the England team is picked (sadly I didn't make it)
I don't think I got much better technically, but the my cardio was brilliant at the time and that was the major change
