Fighting from home?

Is it possible to enter k1 style kickboxing or muay thai matches when i train at home and have sparring partners? Anybody done this?

I suppose you'd just enter as an "independant fighter"? when it asks for your team?

I have dealt with independent fighters on my cards in the past.
Only problem sometimes with independent fighters is that sometimes a few of them spoil it for the rest of them.
By that i mean that because they have no one to answer to, if they change their mind then they can make themselves difficult to get hold of.

I would be willing to put on an independent fighter if they sign a contract or a bond was put up.

its not unheard of but if your thinking about fighting you should at least try to get some lessons with a recognised coach, if your just sparring with your mates etc. just for your own benefit really, you can still train at home but you will need advice from someone with experience if you want to fight :)

Have you ever trained at a gym or have you 'learnt' everything at your home gym?

I learned everything i know from training wiv the best of olympic wrestling and thai..trained wiv lee hasdell and others..now just train wiv 2 brothers in home gym..bst is near here but i know sum of their coaches/trainers and can train when i need there..
