Folks

I'm building a gym in my new house, nothing too fancy just really somewhere I can do a bit extra when the gym is closed, in the mornings, before work etc

I'm thinking...

Heavy bag
Thai pads/focus mits
Medicine ball
Wieght bench
dumbells
barbells
resistance bands

maybe mats for doing a bit of rolling when the gym is closed

what else might be useful (baring in mind I am on a budget, just bought a new house)

hi Romeoblood

I am kitting out my unit that I use as a warehouse and private session area.

I am going with matted floor and walls upto 6 feet, Kettle Bells, Chin up bar - that can be doubled up as rope climber, as much as I would like a bench ~ I find that throwing a bag onto the floor and lying on that does about the same job ( for basic training ) of course if your renting it out or bringing guys in then its a bench.

Heavy 4 foot bag and a long 6 foot bag for low kicking.

Then a few spare bits of training kit ~ gloves , head guards etc - so if I take on new students I have kit for them to use.

I would avoid to many weights ( unless its a weights gym first and MMA second ) and go with kettle bells as they can be crossed used and easier to store and move around.

I do have 4 medicine balls but dont use them that often to be honest.

thanks for your advice fella,

the gym is just gonna be for me, so I might not bother with the bench

I'll probs get some kettle bells and a pull up bar as well, didnt think of that actually

gonna try and convince one of the farmers to give me a tractor tire as well for out the back garden as well

Dont worry mate, the gym is just for me, and it will be in the bedroom, not the garage, I wont be using it for classes or anything, so it wont be business use

thanks for the heads up though

I'm thinking of making my own gym aswell up in the loft it used to be a spare room now its going to be a place of blood sweat & tears. :D

Myabe not the best place for doing weights up in a loft but the floor is strong so i dont need to worry about finding my weights down in the livingroom couch.

bloody hell romeo, 6 repeat posts lol, has to be a record ;)

im in the process of kitting out a home gym too.

getting some jigsaw mats.
already have a bag, dumbells, multi-weight machine that can do chest, shoulders, back, biceps, leg press and leg curls.
dip bar that can be used to hold yourself up and do leg bends also has a pull up bar.
an exercise ball, treadmill and cross trainer.

just need to clear out the crap thats accumulated in it (been used a bit as a store room with some old tvs, cardboard boxes etc cluttering it up), get the mats down, get a tv on the wall and some mma fight card posters block mounted to deck it out nicely.

will put before and after pictures when done.

Im doing the same as you, except mine is going in the conservatory which is massive i think its roughly 20ft in length and about 10-15ft wide so i have plenty of room.. not to mention its like a boiler room in there lol.

Im going to get myself some Kettlebells, iv been reading up on them and they are great.

Other obvious things iv looked into are..

Bag,
Bench,
Olympic Barbel,
Weights ( i think im going to buy the bench and weights seperate cause the ones you get all together seem like shit quality and i want steel weights not vinyl crap),
Target pads,
Pull up/Dip frame,
Some matts for the floor - my mate got these from netto cheap as fuck,
Going to try and get a little fridge in there aswell for drinks etc.

Of course, you may decide that you don't care if people get your IC and OOC mixed up.WOW

Power Leveling (http://www.wowpowerlevelingup.com) If so, my hat's off to you. But for most, it'll probably be best to help spell out what's in character,

what's out of character, and keep confusing of the two to a minimum. There's a single primary fundamental to roleplay.

Aion Gold (http://www.gobuyaiongold.com) It's a dynamic that is so innate and implicit about the act of roleplaying

that most roleplayers never give it any thought. Why would they? WOW Gold (http://www.storeingame.com/)It's as

universal and binding a dynamic as could possibly exist in an activity. Buy WOW Gold (http://www.zyy.com/)This dynamic

is not only the building block of roleplaying, it's also the very point and end-goal of most roleplaying.

Aion Gold (http://www.storeingame.com/Buy-Aion-Gold/) I want to throw in some kind of yin and yang analogy, also, but

I'll get to my point.
