this is superb, it just goes to show how fucking small we are. like people have said, there's just no possible way we are the only living things kicking about. its so big you just cant grasp the idea of it! mental!

Awesome. Truly awesome.
I agree that it seems just totally unbelievable that we can be the only intelligent life in that lot. Also, it makes our human/earth centric religions seem pretty absurd when they were "written" before we had any idea what was truly out there.
A great book that I just finished is "Why does E=mc2 (and why should we care?)" by Brian Cox and Jeff Foreshaw. Brilliant explanation of quantum physics and aspects of cosmology. Very easy to read and well worth giving it a go.
