Obviously Thailand and Holland, who is just below them? How do England stack up?

thailand
england
australia
holland

for women, best by far is UK and Australia probably closely followed by the girls from the eastern block.
we dont get to see much of the australian guys over here but they are very good. see a lot more of them when in thailand.
there are some fantastic australian female fighters, i have always wanted to see an Oz v uk card both male and female but costs are too high for either countries to stack a card full of bouts.
i think UK women are the best in the world at the moment, obviously germaine de randamie is probs up there as p4p though!
thailand girls will be up there in another 5 years but they are years behind the thai men at the minute.
are young girls like Iman Barlow, Christi campbell, Jo Jo calderwood, Amie Pirnie are still in their teens and already some of the best in the business. Iman is probably one of the most experienced female fighters in the world with over 100 fights and she's still 17 and Amie Pirnie and Jo Jo's skill is scary.

above all correct

standard in england at mid to lower weights very good with people like
Liam Harrison, James France, Luke Turner, Andy Hoswon, Damien Trainor, both Wakeling Brothers etc etc (could name lots more) plus on the ladies side Julie Kitchen, Bernise, Claire Haigh, Ruth Ashdown, Anna Zuccali, Amy etc - we have a lot of very good thai fighters

French have a good standard too

Belarus have a few very good camps and fighters

Aussies also very good

id put us up there right near the top

FRANCE; good thai style and have consistently produced good fighters

BELARUS - again, their fighters always have a nice thai style

HOLLAND - The MT purists hate Holland but they have been producing some of the worlds best fighters at all weights for years.

JAPAN - Strong in the lighter weights; always have been

UK - Definitely up there now with the worlds best

Scandinavia - produces some good fighters; all the Finnish fighters I have seen have been particularly stong and also have a nice thai style.

lol sorry yeah she is older (although looks so young). She is so, so talented, such a clever fighter especially in the clinch. I think Iman is going to rule the roost for a few years simply because of her experience and she is only going to get better but UK has to be top country in the world at the moment for female fighters. actually, i say at the moment but we have always had top girls, even going back over ten or more years...lisa houghton-smith, trix march, karen ousey, victoria norman, mary hart, tricia mckeary not to mention the last few years...julie k, helene garnett, claire H, nicky carter, rebecca donnelly etc. and all the up and coming girls like Cassie, sarah macarthy, sam mitchell and so many more.
as for the men, Yak is right, uk is up there at the moment, we have such strong fighters and its only getting stronger all the time. its a reflection on the standard of the teaching and the teaching of actual Muay Thai as oppose to kickboxing with some knees thrown in :)

I have to give a completely biased shout to "Kru" Leigh Edlin, from Chao Phraya Lincoln.

I have the privilege of watching him train from time to time and watch him fight.
From a non biased point of view; his movement is beautiful and fluid - I can't wait to see what the next couple of years bring.
