Okay so I'm in the market for some new 16oz gloves as my MTGs have got a little battered over the years.
I'm torn between Fairtex and Top King as these seem to be two brands that get universal praise.
My priorities are
Quality. I want a pair that will last for years
Protection. I don't want any hand problems. I'd also like a pair that are fairly soft for my sparring partners.
However...is it worth spending more? I'd be willing to spend up to £120ish if there were real advantages. Has anyone on here bought gloves for that much and was it worth it? Something like Cletos maybe?

Save your cash and stick with the Thai brands. Don't get me wrong Cleto's are awesome gloves but I doubt you would have a pair of Cleto's last you any longer than say Twins or Sandee. If you're after something a bit different we've just taken delivery of some 'Limited Edition' Sandee triple tone gloves (black/red & Yellow) and only 20 made in each size. I'll get some pics posted when they go on the website but if you want first pick they are on display in all the shops.

If you want them to last for years go with Sandee. They go on for what seems like forever. They are handmade and high quality, no frills or fancy patterns just straightforward high quality material and craftsmanship, designed to work.
Available in 5 two tone colours and sizes form 10oz to 18oz
Fairtex are good but I dont see anything that justifies the extra price other than shiny leather which is aesthetically pleasing.
Available in thee colours and sizes from10oz to 16oz
Twins are good too, been around years and you know the product you are getting will do the job.
Available in a wide range of solid colours and patters
Top King no idea about longevity s the company is only a year or so old so their products haven't been out long enough to make judgments on how long they last. Design they are awesome and have sold very, very fast on the site
We only have limited stock at the moment with more to follow
If you just want a high quality glove that does the job and will last then Sandee is the best bet

Well I read all the other threads and didn't see anything about whether it was worth spending more than £60 on a pair of gloves. Brands like Cleytos weren't mentioned I don't think.
Thanks for the advice guys :)

so i ditched my old pair of blitz gloves & spent the cash on a decent pair of sandee gloves you cant beat them for quality & none of my training partners have complained about getting hit by them
