View Full Version : My third K1 fight!

After winning my previous two fights under K1 rules I am now taking on a game opponent in Wez Lucas at 'KAYO MMA True Spirit' on the 11th September this summer!
I felt I really let myself down last time out but luckily came away with a headkick KO of the night in what was a scrappy battle from start to finish!
This time I will be sure to go back to how I fought on my first time out and throw some serious bones about the cage without looking like a wild man in the process. Hopefully some of you have seen either the first or the second of my encounters and will be there for this one too or just be there anyway ;)
But yeah nothing special just wanted to get a little news out for anyone thats remotely interested as I want to make a name for myself. (no doubt this is a pointless post but hey!)

you fought my mate adam last time his first fight , u look tall for the weight with a long reach i think you need to get behind your jab mate and dont give to much ground away control the distance with your range then throw then kick up stair when you get the chance. good luck for the future mate fight well

Yeah that was one scrappy fight! He was so much faster than I expected him to be it was difficult to work off of a jab I had to be worrying what the next three shots were going to be as he came in on it. Was a good fight though he was a nice bloke too, still havent had the beer though lol!
Cheers for the advice & comments il take a mental note :)

With the surname Vladar, if you are asthmatic then the following nick-name is a must: 'Vlad the Inhaler'.

Darth Vladars the favourite for me! My ideal weight that I go in to fight it is always at 75kg primarily but my last fight was at 70kg's and I felt like a little girl trying to get there!

There used to be untill I took it all off of there, had some sparring videos etc so I was like hmmm I dont want an opponent sussing me out too much before I even hit them  Just because im a bit funny about that as the first thing I do is try find stuff on them myself hahaha.
HOWEVER, there is all of it on my facebook page called 'Project Vladar' (Im a coaches project as he says lol) But yeah, I will post up the link when I can as I cant get on facebook right now. It has both fights on there plus a load of sparring etc. The only thing is its not all of the second match as facebook wouldnt work when i tried upload it so it just has the KO!

Thats the link to my page with a few videos on there of training and the fights. When facebook lets me, I will upload the full 2nd fight also. The first fight was under rockstar cage fighting and is only a mobile copy!!
By the way a COMPLETE fuck up at the first fight meant the winner was read out as the other guy when it was his corner that said he won to the announcer who wasnt even by the fight OMG!! Good thing it was turned around the next day though... fooken eck' fancy reading the scorecards wrong eh..

I know Wes, he's won british titles and 5 nation titles and loads of shit. He's pretty good. I'm sure he won gold in the world championships in 'points' fighting. He's more of a 'shiny pants' kickboxer though.

Yeah I know quite a bit about him, seen him a few times & know alot of guys his clubs associated with etc as I have also been to plenty of em'. I would be pretty confident to say the least in the fight personally along with my team which is a shame as he's pulled out with an injury!!
I have no idea who I have now though so I guess il have to beat on some body else :(

Quick update, I won my fight by a BIG decision tonight against Kevin Stonehill (Didnt get to fight Wez in the end)
Spanked him in the 1st with a right cross, left hook & lead leg headkick to put him down. Picked him off and wore on him with some heavy kicks to finish strong.
Second went the same way with another headkick that caught his guard, rocked him again with that and was immediately pounding away with all i had to get a finish while it was there. Unfortunately i didnt manage it and backed off to save myself from blowing myself out for no reason! Almost done it again with a nice check hook late in the round but didnt capitalise as im an idiot!
Third round i knew i had it in the books so i made sure i stayed nice and technical, kept moving and picking off with hands and feet not to give any risks. Increased the tempo here and there probing for a late tko/ko.
Guy was TOUGH, i literally gave him all i could without dying out and he kept on coming so props for that i thought i hit hard! LOL!
It was a nice win and its pushed me up to 3-0-0 so its smiles all round for me :)

Link to the last fight, it starts about 4minutes in. Please excuse my awful kicks at the start of the round LOL!! Dont ask what I was thinking oh my lord. Watching it back there is so many things I have done wrong and could have done better, im not happy with that performance now. Especially the third round the effort in that was seriously lacking!! But thats what its there for and thats why I train so next time out all of the problems & mistakes will be strengths!!

The link to my second fight is on the link below aswel starts at 41.40, this was a TERRIBLE weight cut down to 70kgs, first time I had ever cut weight like that for a fight and it seriously impacted me in the fight. Had nothing in the tank & felt sloppy as hell. Rules were changed by my opponent as he didnt want any leg kicks or knees to the head, I agreed as I was sure i would win anyways lol. After getting kneed in the nuts @ 43.10ish I realised oh shit im in a scrap and sharpened up a bit, took a while lol! All in all an awful fight but ended up getting the Knockout of the night though with a lovely headkick @ 47.08 that makes a cracking noise on impact ;)
