I have done muay thai for nearly a year now. My kicks are quite good but my hands are pretty poor.

Would taking up boxing be a good idea to help my punching, hand speed and movement, or would it just screw up my muay thai stance?

cheers

Boxing generally helps punching and hand speed...

but would it be worth sacrificing my stand and higher guard for muay thai?

Its not gonna hurt you to try it.

Try and keep your square stance if you want.

I feel boxing would be a great way to help with your speed of punching, moving and depence.

It will help, just don't go too side on when you're at boxing.
