haha , Harrison doesnt do anything quickly , except for getting knocked the fck out by Haye.
He got dominated by Sprott , rocked in the second or 3rd round , got dominated for the rest of the fight then sparked him with a left hook which in my opinion came from God because I dont know where he found that shot from.

oh oh, by the way, did you hear about a time when Haye apparently barged into Audley's training camp in Lanzarotte or somewhere? Sounds like he totally smashed him up and then Audley claimed he a) went too hard and was a dick and b) Audley lost the fight he was training for, just because his confidence was so fucked after taking such a whipping from Haye.

They used to be good friends by all accounts , haye used to room with him I believe.
Is this after he lost to Danny Williams ?
Knowing many boxers , ego always gets in the way so that doesnt surprise me one bit.

might be something on eastside boxing about it, I think it was after he lost to Danny Williams, he claims that Haye took the piss in sparring and went full on.
Which then fuelled the fire for this fight ... I will have a look on a few of the boxing forums

quality, found it.
AUDLEY SPEAKSI wanted to give some more details about my sparring session with David Haye and why I say he took liberties in trying to blast me out. After my first lost to Danny Williams, my confidence was low and I went to Miami to hook up with Lennox and try to get my mojo back. I was with my training team and had just signed to fight Dominic Guinn for April 14th. It was early March and we were running along the beach in the morning and we bump into David who was training there and was also running. We talked and as David was nearing the end of camp for his fight back in London, we agreed to speak later as we didn’t want cool down.Bear in mind, I hadn’t done any boxing specific training since December and I was really looking to get my fire back and utilise the advice of Lennox. I believe it was 2 weeks later when Lennox told me he was leaving town and wanted to see me spar before he left town. We arranged for a novice pro who was in the gym to move around with me and we set it up for that evening.David called and asked what I was up to and I told him what was planned for that evening. David had never come to my gym before while we were there, he trained elsewhere.
He gave no indication that he wished to come to the spar, so I never expected him and Adam to turn up and ask to spar. Regardless, I said no problems as I thought it would be good for Lennox to have a look at him (as far as I’m aware, David nor his side kick Adam had met Lennox before this day).
I did 3 rounds with the novice and then David stepped in. I noticed he was jumping up and down and looking really animated. It was 2 weeks away from his fight and he was at the end of his camp. Round 1: David came out throwing combinations, 3 and 4 at a time; I was so slow, I couldn’t even keep up with him. Wave after wave of punches came my way; he wasn’t holding back. I kept my guard tight and looked for an opening but couldn’t get off. The onslaught continued for 3 rounds and I hardly landed a shot on him.
My team looked at me like what the f..k was that about?. Was I embarrassed? HELL YES! Lennox said not to worry, as it was my first spar and that I’ll get better. Unfortunately, this set the mood for camp and I never got off first base. So that’s another reason why I want to get David in the ring, as I believe his actions on that day impacted my whole training camp and I boxed Dominic Guinn still low on confidence. I will say this, David has never hurt me all the many times we have boxed; I don’t think he can say the same.

I don't see why Haye is even considering this fight. He has nothing to gain by beating Audley. Haye by KO any day of the week.

Wouldn't it be hilarious though if Harrison got a lucky punch like he did against Sprott and knocked Haye out and then retired? It won't happen but it's amusing to entertain for a moment.

A previous Harrison thread:
http://cagewarriors.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49881
Here was my contribution:
Actually maybe he is right after all. He's going to take the presitgious European title. Then he'll get a suprise opportunity at Wlad due to the Russians expected opponent cancelling at late notice. So Audley will take him into the trenches and manage a 12th majority points decision.
Then he'll get himself some momentum and take on Vitali. Vitali will underestimate his opponent and Audley will KO him in the 2nd round.
After this he will take on the giant Russian Valuev with a deft performance. After a slow start for Audley towards the last 3 rounds he really finds his stride and in the closing 30 seconds he knocks him down twice in quick sucession before the Russian quits.
Then the final showdown will be against Haye whereby the two's fierce rivalry simmers over and they have a fight in a car park (not unlike Rocky 4 or whichever one it was). Audley will punish him for the time Haye beat him badly in a sparring match in front of Lennox Lewis. After a gruelling brawl Haye will retire from the ring through fear of having to face his nemisis.
Then Lennox Lewis will come out of retirement after being offered massive amounts of money. Lennox see's this one fight as a way of making a lot of money very easily. Audley doesn't train for this one as his confidence continues to increase.
As they enter the ring Lennox looks in good shape for a guy in his 40's while Audley looks like he's eased off the pedal a bit. The contest is close with both fighters taking a beating but in the 6th round Lewis is up on the judges cards until Audley lands a cruel right hook with his effective southpaw stance and the cut is so severe that the ring doctor deems Lewis unable to fight on. Audley is declared the winner of the bout in slightly controversial circumstances (although Audley claims he was just about to settle into his stride and dominate the remaining rounds).
Audley is declared the greatest heavy weight of any recent era.
The end.

Haye is the favorite for sure, but this fight will certainly appeal to the casual boxing fan as they are both still pretty big names.
Haye would make lots of money, for what many would believe to be very little risk from this fight. Why wouldn't he take it?
Dragunov
31-08-2010, 12:13 PM
What would you consider to be 'lots of money'? He would make more fighting Wlad or Vitali.
Haye is a contender for the World HW straps, Audley isn't. The prospect of watching Harrison bores me to death.
It's like Hatton/Witter and Calzaghe/Froch. Why would you turn down International fights to fight domestic fighters? In a weakened heavyweight division Haye has the opportunity to clear up and unify the division. That's what he should be looking towards.

whoa, this isn't appropriate! i agree David should make a donation to charity for this.
BOXING hero David Haye shocked fans yesterday by claiming his showdown with fellow Brit Audley Harrison would be "as one-sided as a gang rape"...
Haye, 29, went eye-to-eye with 2000 Olympic gold medallist Harrison, 38, in Vauxhall, South London. And he warned him: "You're going to get violated in that ring."

Des Lynam wades in with his opinion. are you joking? is this the real Des Lynam? lol
I have to admit that back in the year 2000, after Audley Harrison had won the super-heavyweight boxing gold medal at the Sydney Olympics, I confidently predicted that he would become a professional world heavyweight champion.

Just heard a classic from a friend who was on the train sitting a few seats down from Audley managed to drop a bollock by mentioning to Audley's brother that he thought Audley was going to get destroyed. When he realised it Audleys brother he could of crawled up his own arse!

Rest assured, he'll be able to catch up on plenty of sleep when I finish with him on November 13."

oh shit, Derek's local to me - i don't want to see him getting fucking smashed :(
i've said it many times before, and as i post on, like a broken record tirelessly repeating myself, i once sparred with Derek - invited him to my old club.
he said he hadn't been training in a while and wanted to smash someone up. and that's what he did, hit me on the cheekbone and totally rocked me to my boots. cheekbone, dammit. but it was the hardest i've ever been hit.
my trainer had seen that i was wobbled badly, legs went and everything - i'd done minimal sparring at this point and he pretty much invited derek to finish the job (what a dick) but i was concussed, so i pussied out. ah well. as long as i keep that to myself i'll be ok.

I am lucky enough to train at a pro club , hold a trainers licence so I get to move around with alot of the pro's.
The one that sticks in my mind is when I was lucky enough to have a move around with benn about 4 - 5 years ago. He was at one of the white collar clubs in London moving around with guys that couldnt box pretty much.
I got in full of confidence and tried to put a bit of pressure on him, bang , my hearing went. He had landed a "dont take the piss shot" right behind my ear...
at that point I decided to call it quits on that session

honestly ive never seen movement like it, the pub story wouldnt suprise me
