View Full Version : Green Tea Brands
Which ones do people go for? Is there a difference between certain types of Green Tea? (yes I could use Bing or Google but my search engine is Cagewarriors as it's the best).

Matcha green tea is supposedly the best you can buy but it's not cheap.
I just go for clipper green tea for the supermarket. Last one I bought had ginseng and raspberry, it's nice.
Thanks for the input.
Bought 20 Forbes Green teabags from the co-op so see how I get on with them. Had a couple of brews this morning already and they don't taste too bad. Hopefully I can just get into a routine of drinking green tea now, then as well as the green tea benefits I'm cutting out sugar and saving on cost of milk.

I have clipper green teas bags at home. Then I have James of piccadily sencha green tea bags at work (since they're individually wrapped).

I love special gunpowder tea. Basically, you'll get better stuff if you get it from your local asian supermarket rather than a supermarket tea isle.

Thanks, will have a look, although notice that it's a bit more expensive.

I'm not sure it is more expensive. If you buy the dried tea that you put in a strainer in a pot rather than green tea bags from supermarkets, it works out a ton cheaper. And tastes way better too :D

I'd get the green leaves from an Chinese herbalist or specialist tea store if you can.
If it's leaves you're after, I don't think you can beat Tazo Zen, the Starbucks brand which you can buy boxes of from the coffee shops.
If you want something a bit special, try http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yerba_maté from www.urushop.co.uk - I guarantee you won't look back. Or struggle to run to work after a superb poo ever again!

If you're drinking green tea for the fat loss benefits then you'll be better off with oolong tea, that's the type which has been oxidised half way between green and black, it has the best fat burning properties of all tea.
PS. I highly recommend the program at http://www.aabedin.com/gamblingwizard
It's allowed me to make some decent money off my interest in mma this year.
