The Auld Enemy
England vs Scotland
Saturday 18th September
Meadowbank Sports Arena, Edinburgh

Main Event
Andy Farrell ENGLAND - v - Allan Love SCOTLAND at Middleweight
With a solid background in BJJ and Judo, Andy Farrell (2-1), brings a wealth of experience to his MMA career. A veteran of the fight game, Andy also runs the successful Farrell MMA, and the explosive grappler has a vast amount of experience ready to take on Scottish Middleweight Allan Love (7-1). Former pro wrestler Allan Love has shot up through the ranks to take the Scottish No1 spot at Middleweight, and has big wins to his name including highly touted Englishman Rob Mills. Allan’s standout wrestling has made him a fighter to be feared and he will be looking to keep the pressure on Farrell throughout this dynamic bout.

Co-Main Event
Danny Batten ENGLAND - v - John Cullen SCOTLAND at Featherweight
Danny Batten (12-6-3), was a highly touted UK fighter on the European scene before injury forced a two year absence from the sport. Danny is hungry to get back in the cage and show everyone at Kudegra why he was once ranked No.1 in the UK Featherweight rankings with a victory over super Scot John Cullen. A ruthless Thai boxer who brings everything from flying knees to spinning elbows, John Cullen (13-5), always arrives prepared for anything, but prefers to keep the fight on its feet and is known for his stand-up wars. A quick hitter who has beaten some big names, Cullen is one of the most dangerous strikers in the division, and will bring everything in his arsenal as he attempts to topple the man challenging him. An outstanding match-up that will have the crowd on their feet from start to finish.

Paul Cook ENGLAND - v - James Mair SCOTLAND at Welterweight
Paul Cook (10-1) is a British titleholder with a strong brawling style and heavy hands who likes to impose his will on his opponents and Ground & Pound his way to victory. After a ten-fight winning streak, Cook lost his first pro fight at TFC earlier this year to tough Scott Ward, getting caught in a tight triangle choke. Now the man known as ‘Cookie’ looks to get back to his winning ways against the ever-dangerous James ‘Night’ Mair (8-4). A strong wrestler with crisp stand-up and razor sharp elbows, former Middleweight Mair uses his non-stop style to ensure that his fights are always fast-paced and action-packed. This fight is guaranteed to be explosive, and will be a sure-fire way for both men to see where they stand in the British Welterweight rankings. Let the fireworks begin…

Aaron Blackwell ENGLAND - v - Paul Reed SCOTLAND at Featherweight
Martial Arts star Aaron ‘The Saiyan’ Blackwell (7-8), has a wealth of experience in the fight game, including bouts in MMA, Thai boxing and K1. Aaron narrowly missed out on a medal in the BJJ Pan-American Games, and the international fighter comes into this fight with the intention of finishing his opponent quickly and decisively. Paul Reed (14-5), is an aggressive boxer who has fought on the biggest shows in the UK, and is now looking to add Kudegra to the top of his list. The Cage Rage veteran, who trains with Leigh Remedios, has nasty Ground & Pound and has been in the cage with the best the UK has to offer. Paul comes into this fight looking to prove to his fans that he is worthy of his high ranking.

Chris Scott ENGLAND - v - Frank Bell SCOTLAND at Middleweight
Chris Scott (2-1), is a ground stylist and BJJ coach who trains pro fighters while not preparing for his own fights. His slick style of BJJ, with a stint under Ground/Wrestling coach Warren Oliver and Thai tuition under Stu Baillie ensure, means that he will be ready to face local boy Frank Bell in Edinburgh. Frank (0-2), is a tough all-round fighter who showed lots of promise in his semi-pro career. Although he’s had a tough start to his pro career, both of his losses have been to top class opponents, including one at Heavyweight. Frank will be looking to show his home crowd what Scottish fighters can bring to the Middleweight division in this great match-up.

Nathan Thompson ENGLAND - v - Rob McCrum SCOTLAND at Bantamweight
Nathan Thompson (5-7), is already a veteran of the UK MMA scene. Having started young, Nathan got off to a bad start at pro going 0-3, but now this highly rated fighter is turning his career in a positive direction, and with strong grappling and fast hands to compliment the BJJ game that has seen him finish 4 of his 5 pro wins by triangle, Nathan is on track to become a Top Ten fighter with a win over tough grappler Rob McCrum. Known as a tough and durable grappler, Rob McCrum (3-1), is one of the strongest fighters in the UK at Bantamweight. With a superb BJJ game honed through years of competition in BJJ events, McCrum could look to take this fight to the floor. This fight will be a good test for both fighters, although McCrum doesn’t believe Thompson has what it takes to beat him. Can McCrum take the fight to the floor or will the rangy striker from South Shields prove he has what it takes to go all the way with his biggest win to date?

Chris Holmes ENGLAND - v - Andy Hillhouse SCOTLAND at Heavyweight
Making his debut, the Ian Freeman protégé Chris Holmes is a regular training partner of Darren ‘Powerhouse’ Towler, and like all Team Machine fighters, we can expect Chris to be well versed at ground & pound. Andy Hillhouse (1-4) is a tough brawler who likes to stand up and trade. Fighting out of the superb Dinky Ninjas gym in Scotland, this fight is guaranteed to be a full-on war!

Ian Malone ENGLAND - v - Aldo Waugh SCOTLAND at Flyweight
A brown-belt BJJ coach who has trained in Japan with some of the world’s best, Ian Malone (3-1), has also had Thai boxing bouts, and is looking to prove that he is a top UK flyweight. Don’t be fooled by the record – Aldo Waugh (0-3), is a ruthless stand-up fighter who is known for his toughness, and everyone who he faces will know they’ve been to war!

Will Brookes ENGLAND - v - Joe Nugent SCOTLAND at Welterweight
Will Brookes (3-3), a strong wrestler with slick BJJ skills, has had a bad start at pro but has won his last two fights. Joe Nugent (5-5), a good BJJ fighter with a decent stand-up game, has been in with some top fighters. He never stops, and makes a battle out of every fight.

Matthew Earnshaw ENGLAND - v - Steve Ray SCOTLAND at Welterweight
Matthew Earnshaw (0-1), trains under fighting veteran Andy Farrell. With a good grappling pedigree and aggressive stand-up, Matthew will be looking to make his mark as one of the UK’s top Welterweight prospects as he takes on dangerous striker Steve Ray. Scotland’s Steve Ray (2-0), went 7-0 at semi-pro and is known for his all out brawling style. Since turning pro he has shown he will be hard to stop, and with razor sharp elbows now thrown into his ferocious Ground & Pound, this young fighter looks like one to watch in the near future.

Sham Haque ENGLAND - v - Kieran McBride SCOTLAND at Bantamweight
Sham Haque (2-2), has fast hands and is a good wrestler who displays incredible strength at this weight, and sets a furious pace in all his fights. Kieran McBride (1-1), is a well-rounded fighter who likes to trade. His never-say-die attitude guarantees a ding-dong battle with Sham!
