Here's a breakdown of why no UK fighter is going to win next week

1 Marc Emmanuel V Barrington Patterson

Marc has worked hard on his standup and is no longer the fighter who lost to Valentin Overeem, he'll take Patterson down at will and sub him.

2 TBA V Antonio Silva

3 Boris Jonstomp V Jim Wallhead

Boris has world class Thai skills and will put a clinic on the novice Wallhead. Jim is strong and aggressive but doesn't have the MMA experience to beat Boris.

4 Damien Riccio V Matt Ewin (Rematch, belt)

Did it once, will do it again, Damien has Matt figured out. Matt always has the same game plan and always wins by using it, unfortunately it's Damiens Game Plan too .... Damien is Matt's Kryptonite

5 Emmanuel Fernandez V Danny Batten (Belt)

No one in the UK can beat Manu, he's already beaten up all of the UK's best Featherweights. When will he get to beat up a Brazilian, an american or a japanese fighter. I can give you a list of interesting fighters for the best pound for pound fighter on the UK scene.

6 TBA V Dan Hardy

7 Bendy Casimir V Dave Swan

Bendy's on fire right now, whoever steps in the ring with him will lose.

8 TBA V Danny Mann

9 Gregory Boucheleghem V Ross Pointon

Gregory is so sure of his ability that he's decided to go up a weight category and give away 5 kgs. First round Sub

10 Cyrille Diabate V Michael Bisping (UK-1)

Michael is a very good fighter, but he's stepping into Cyrille's domain.

This event will be fantastic, I don't think any of the fights will be easy or will be walk overs but I don't see any of the french losing.

we are hoping to confirm all these fights by tomorrow as the Cagewarriors curse has stuck yet again

Also Droc has to be forgiven for stating he predicts a 10-0 whitewash as he is bias and proud of it and has also spend a lot of time being the link man between the French team and Cagewarriors.

Personally i think Droc's wrong, but if this don't stir up the UK team....nothing will

I think the UK guys has some incentive to go out there and win... We lost 3-2 at Cagewarriors 4 in 2003 we can't go 0-2. Hopefully Barrington and the boys will do the business and whitewash the froggies in Coventry :)

(Who wants the stirring spoon now)

I wont say 10-0, but i think the french team will win. A lot of missmatch if you ask me.

I think a lot are striker grappler clashes that could go either way. Yeah the french are good grapplers but there is some serious KO power on the UK side.

They aren't mismatches....i've seen a lot worse than that...striker ghrappler clashes will get the crowd's attention as we look to break coventry with a bang

Dave Swan is a great up and coming fighter, I think he will fait well in this fight.
As for the main event, I genuinly cant see Barington lossing, especially on his home turf!!
Have to wait and see.... its going to be a great night!!

I agree with you Paul. Dave Swann has a lot of potential talent, and he has a very tough fight and Casmir is the favourite but Swann has geniune KO power and can pull it off.

I dont think there are any really big mismatches on the card but there are a lot of striker/grappler fights that could end very quick but will be very exciting while they last and should appeal to the new crowd

Jess all kidding aside, the card is equally balanced giving on paper, clear favourites for both the French team & the UK team, its as you say not as 1 sided as people think for different reasons. Hence I believe this will be a very exciting event, for any 1 team to win they are going to have to fight for it. As a promoter I could of quite easilly stacked the card in favour of the UK, but that is not my style as Droc will attest we both spent a great deal of time agreeing to each others fighters & fights to ensure fair play.
I believe we have created both an exciting & interesting evening of MMA, with a them against us bonus to make it more interactive, the betting lines for those amongst us who like to have a little flutter has once again added another little touch of fun to the proceedings.
Betting on UK MMA is another inovative first from the Cagewarriors team, & don't forget once registered through Cagewarriors you are able to bet on a whole host of other exciting events around the World as Cagewarriors are "The Only" official UK betonfight agents.

I don't think any fight will be a walkover for either team, I really am looking forward to this event. The UK team is solid, has some great fighters on there but the French Team is all top 5 fighters

It's always good to see the French Top Team in action. Maybe they might do a 5-0 and the uk win the other 5?

Wellard, feel free to come post on any forums in French, obviously your french is near perfect if you feel that you can criticise a simple spelling error

T'as besoin de travail, mais felicitations pour avoir essayé!

Ignore David, his french is pretty poor

Agreed - Dave's Englandish is some of the best i've ever seed...

and, on paper, at least, i'm going to say 7-3 to France...

Smith

not much to elaborate - it was an entirely random guess :D

well, random in that i don't know about the other fights, but i pick Pointon, Hardy and Bisping to win.

those aside, i gave the rest to the french - just because an unexpected victory is nicer than an easily-predicted one :)
