haha no ones even commented about there ego funny that I am the only one to admit I have inner demons and have the courage to admit it?. Just remember when you tap to that lower belt the look he gives you knowing hes beaten you once and will try again, if he does thats it game over he will always think hes better than you dispite the belt colour, just think about the covo he will be having with his mates, I tapped a so and so this week and I bet a few people at your club will be talking about it HEY did you see so and so tap so and so the other day WOW! hes a shit.... what ever belt.
All this I have seen and done myself so I know it happens I just wondered how people deal with it. and yet you never get this stress with nogi its amazing.
SERIOUS helpful comments please. if you relpy with a silly comment you lick oldman balls, and have just admitted it publicly :p

What you explained above could transition just as easily to no gi. What if someone has trained for 3 years and gets caught by someone who has only had 9 months training?
In anycase with the last bit of your post you have confirmed you are about 11.
Good luck with your BJJ.

Same here. No point in getting lairy, it's just rollling. It's a learning excercise, not a cagefight.

Oddball, chat less & train more. Everyone has an ego yes - a sense of self worth, but you put it aside especially when you stop fighting against your sparring partners and start rolling with the flow.
Nothing wrong with having a massive ego IMO if u want and can back it up but in classes you will never see those glimpses of your potential when you have effortless flow through union with the sparring partner where you don't need to force technique because you both naturally arrive at the next one, you don't need to create the opportunity because when you are joined the next move is taken before your brain can engage. Those glimpses of the true essence of jiu jitsu are the moments that make the warrior smile more than any 'win' in the dojo.

***1000th Post***
I was waiting for the perfect moment to use my 1000th post (sad I know but it's the little things).
This is possibly the best thing I've read in this forum and in a long time. 100% true.
I'm merely a white belt and I regularly roll with Chris Coltrane who could at any point crush me with sleepy eyed ease. He's an awesome purple belt and is the most egoless person I've ever met.
But those rolls where he lets me work and we just ROLL are the best rolls I ever have and I leave the gym taking away more from those rolls after tapping countless times than if I was to smash somebody and get 10 taps in 5 minutes.
And no, I've never tapped him.
"...those glimpses of your potential when you have effortless flow through union with the sparring partner where you don't need to force technique because you both naturally arrive at the next one, you don't need to create the opportunity because when you are joined the next move is taken before your brain can engage..." REAL TALK.

When you address me, use 3 f's please. 'Sence' makes no sense so just stop making yourself look the fool. Foolishness like the stuff you spout is what drives people away from Cagewarriors forums and its a shame. People come here because they love combat sports not bullshit talk. You are ruining peoples enjoyment so fall back because you arent entertaining anybody, infact if you trained with me I would be cringing at your posts. Where do you train?
