The end of 2010 Lithuania’s neighborhood, the capital of Russia’s Kaliningrad region Kaliningrad began its existence a new MMA organization – Baltic Challenge. These organizations account two professional MMA tournament, which attracted great attention of people in Kaliningrad and friendliness.
MMA history in the Kaliningrad region to more distant portions of the last century, 90-s years. Then there were a few MMA tournaments. As one of my interview said Lithuanian MMA legend – Kestutis Arbocius, it was a small semi-illegal tournaments. History did not save over the tournament title, or participants or winners. The situation has slightly improved at the beginning of the 21st century, when the tournament began writing on the Internet. Then the news about tournaments such as the Universal MMA fighter or the Baltic Cup.
Situation radically changed with our neighbors last year, after the first Baltic Challenge tournament organization, called the Baltic Fights. The tournament was widely advertised in local media and has collected thousands of MMA fans Kaliningrad “Yunost” Arena.
Second tournament – a Baltic Challenge 1 – organizers succeeded in even more. Wide advertising campaign and a good selection of pairs of fighters made their own. Modern Kaliningrad “Yantarny” stage, there were five MMA fight. Viewers saw the struggles of the Russian, Polish and French fighters. Fought in the ring the biggest MMA star in the Kaliningrad region – Dmitry Zabolotny, the Beijing Olympic Games participant – Alexey Krupnyakov and one of the most promising of the Old Continent MMA fighter – Vyacheslav Vailevskiy.
The third tournament in BC – Baltic Challenge 2 had another date, but he was prevented from unforeseen forces – the Russian fire service. They closed the main tournament site as the modern “Yantarny” Arena. This tournament had to quickly move to another date.
A new date for the tournament – this year on July 1. Backup arena of Kaliningrad “Yunost” Arena will be held 10 MMA in five weight classes. Fighters from the Russian, Lithuanian, Polish, Swedish, Finnish, Dutch, Czech and French against each other.
We have the honor to announce that the tournament to make a significant contribution “The Plunge of Knight’s ideological leader, Marius Mazulis. Tournament organizers commissioned a fightcard, negotiate with foreign fighters, and many other organizational work. After only three weeks, all MMA fans will be able to assess Marius Mazulis effort and work.
In the short term, we will introduce all of which are already established, the tournament fighters pairs.
