Weights are the fastest way to get stronger but the unfortunate side effect is that you tend to get bigger and heavier doing them. If you don't have enough weights to go heavy just do high reps of compound movements I guess as it'll really push up your muscular endurance and help your body with the way it deals with the lactates that prohibit your muscles functioning whilst training intensively. You can make some incredible gains in muscular endurance in relatively short periods using high reps on compound techniques.
