I just got one from Black Eagle and they had a sale on old stock so got a spare one too. The old stock had a seam down the back which could be uncomfortable, the new stock is improved. Don't think colour matters, I have a blue one but people wear white, blue or black where I train.

ive gone for white because i searched and aparantly a blue gi with white belt will make me look like a "quebec fag" lol
gi choice is harder than any mma class ive done , this is emotional

you should check out www.ikusa.co.uk
i got my gi from them £50 and its a good quality, hard wearing heavey gi.
Had it for about a year and no issues.

Is a seam down the back really that uncomfortable? I can't imagine lying on my back under knee-on-belly and thinking "Oh, this seam is really chaffing me".

A heavy Gi's the last thing anyone wants in the summer man nice light atama maybe?

The standard Faixa Rua gis are nice and light :)
The double weaves are NOT!!

My most recent purchase was the Vulkan pro light. Top quality Gi I much prefer it to my others, including Koral and Gameness. Its not as cheap as some of the options given in this thread but the quality and weight make it worthwhile in my opinion. think i'l try one of the UK brands next time, or another Vulkan :)

Yea man, light gold weave for the win. Especially since we're coming into the summer. The worst thing in the world is getting crushed under the sidemount of a 110kilo guy in the middle of a heatwave.
