I'm looking to get a new gi in coming months, and have been looking at the following;
Vulkan Pro or Ultra lite
Faixa Rua gold weave
Black Eagle gold weave
I'm quite like the look of the Vulkan, but would like to hear people's opinions and reviews of all of them.

I'm not a Gi expert by any means, and I haven't worn any of the other Gi's in your list so I cannot compare them to the Vulkan. However, I have the Vulkan Pro Lite and it's an excellent Gi. Incredibly tough for it's weight compared to others I've tried.
I have a Vulcan and a Faixa Rua. Prefer the Faixa, it's a better fit for me and I prefer the thicker collar.
Rob, when you say the Faixa is a better fit, do you mean it's more snug or it's looser?
What stood out for me about the Vulkan A3 was that it seemed much roomier than other A3 Gi's I've tried. It also suffered zero shrinkage on a 35 degree wash.
Snug. It's not too baggy around the body but still long enough for my arms and legs. Most gis are either too short in the limbs or too baggy around the top for me.
I am 6' & 77kg (long limbed... 76" reach) and an A3 Faixa Rua Classico fits me perfectly after one 60 degree wash.
Ah right, I suppose what kind of body shape you are matters a lot.
I'm 5ft 9" and 96kg and every other A3 I've tried has been too tight for me around the shoulders. The Vulkan however is perfect.
Yeah, body shape matters a lot. I mean, look at our measurements and we are both meant to take the same gi size!!
I think Faixa Rua now do a "Gordo" gi which is especially for broader (or fatter!) guys.
I just googled that Gordo gi, looks interesting.
It looks like the only A2 in the world that would fit me.

Malcontent, thanks for your input. I really like the look of those Vulkan gi's. You say it's tough for the weight, do you train in it or is it just for competition?
I'm not good enough to compete yet, but I train hard and I'm always surprised at how strong the Vulkan is for a lightweight Gi.
I've never come close to thinking that it was going to get damaged in anyway.
Faixa Rua seem like excellent value though.
