just sponge em.
do not put them trough the washing machine
get a decent fabric spray and some cleaning wipes ~ washing machine will kill them if your not carefull

As mentioned, Wipe them down, dry them out after use, I have a small towel that I fit into each one after each session to dry them out, then I wipe them down and air them out in the bath.
How often do you guys clean yours this way then?
I clean mine every week or so. What I also do is air them in my shed outside after every use to make sure they dry. Do not leave in your kit bag whatever you do.
If they smell put them in a plastic bag and put them in the freezer over night. This kills the bacteria that cause the smell.
This also works on your trainers.

We have done some extensive research on the best ways to sanatise smelly kit. There are some ways that delay the stink for a while like freezing and deodorant etc but this is only a very temporary fix and does not kill the bacteria. Washing them in any way does risk damaging the item as its not designed to be washed.
