I seem to remember it sounded okay. Quite a beefy sound, but I only have single coils to compare it to.
A man never sells his first guitar! No matter how unused or ghey looking it is!
My full guitar history is pretty modest.
Started with a Marlin Sidewinder Bass in 1986. Can't remember what happened to that.
My first six string guitar was a Honer Les Paul copy in 1988.
In 1990 fell from my Lead Singers shoulders while playing, while we were emulating Angus Young / Bon Scott.
that warped the neck and the fret board later fell off.
So my first guitar went in a skip.
Replaced that with a Black Washburn with my first locking trem in about 1992. I did most of my serious learning on that.
In about 1998 IO paid my own hard earned cash for a guitar for the first time. A basically Strat chaped Dean (very underspoken for a Dean) with gold coloured metal work. I still own that but I've given it to my 10 year old who's starting lessing on it.
Bought a second hand 36 fret washburn soon after, which was a beast. Sold that on for a profit later.
Then I bought the Strat in about 2002 for £1200. worth every penny, but took some explaining to the wife. I was only out window shopping with a mate.
Then a couple of years ago I added a Jackson DK-2S with this finish on it. http://www.wikizic.org/Jackson-Dinky.../gallery-1.htm
Would like to replace the cheap Acoustic I picked up along the way with something really nice, and probably a Les Paul Standard at some point too.
What about other players, what guitars have you had?
