It isn't always sore dude. Once it calcifies and goes hard it doesn't hurt anymore, unless it blows up again. So I guess what I'm saying is soft = painful, hard = not painful.
Check out this bad boy on my mate Chadwick. This was taken in the hospital before he had an op to sort it.
