I have been practicing the foot plant myself of late, my only issue is I keep smashing my foot through the wall, I believe the problem arose because I took the same stance as JDI - i.e 3 inches away from the wall, however it seems my legs are longer than his, he fully extends from 3 inches away yet somehow I still have a very bent leg and have to smash through the wall to mimic his move...it just doesn't have the same devastating threatening effect that he has :(
