still not enough to make me watch TUF again.....
I think it sucks. Sonnen gets a title shot at LHW after coming off a loss, when he's 2-2 in his last 4 fights (with one win being a close decision) all of which were at MW. It's not like the LHW contender pool is that shallow either. There are loads of fights I'd rather see before this. We also lose any chance of seeing the LHW belt defended for an extended period while TUF films?

At the end of the day whether your worthy counts for shit, the UFC are business and want to make money, the comedy value and viewing figures that Sonnen will bring to TUF will be huge.
That's what they're hoping, because at the moment no one wants to watch it. Sonnen's chat isn't going to save it, as far as I'm concerned, it needs either a massive re-think or just to be dropped altogether.Quote:

If Jones isn't available til April, surely Hendo would have been ready to go by then? Or get the winner of Gustafasson v Rua to step up, Sonnen deserves the shot less than my nan, its going to be like Silva v Bonnar, Jones will clown him.
Yea much as I like Sonnen's banter, I think this is an easy fight for Jones. Not only that, but as pointed out, Sonnen really doesn't deserve the shot. Mind you, there aren't many lining up to fight Jones, most of the 'top contenders' don't want any of him. Shogun and Machida don't want anything to do with Jones, and the only other option is Hendo. I can't see Jones-Hendo happening now at all tbh
