You're probably right.... the SA lads running the GJJ classes were blue belts.
I visited one of these academies in SA whilst I was working out there last year. The guys running the club had a genuine passion for BJJ, but had limited access to good quality instruction...

we had 105'ers on my high school wrestling team, scary that a 14-16 yr old weighs that little, never mind a grown(???) man!

Gym 01 is a good set up, run by decent guys... I'm not overly familiar with either of the other 2 clubs but I'd say give them all a go and see which one suits you best. Have fun.
