Ok guys, who in your opinion is the best -70/-76 Brown/Black Belt in the UK?
Cheers

I've read about guys from smaller academies getting their BBs, then going to a bigger gym, getting smashed by all the Black Belts, some of the Browns and decided to put themselves down a belt. Can't...
I was around. Saw Campos fight Paul Jenkins back in 2004 at Cage Rage 7. Wow, that was frickin ages ago!
I don't really like to take too many supplements as I like to get as much from my diet as possible. I just like Spirulina and Chlorella 3x a day.
I really do not like Whey Protein as it is acid...
It's a shame we haven't had anyone come through to replace Neil Adams. I don't think Royce is that far off the money
My coach said to me that a Brown Belt is someone with a Back Belt skill set but without the experience. But yes, it varies from club to club.
I like Rob's post on the kids gradings, I also think it is important for kids to be graded more frequently due to their reduced attention span. I personally think a student should earn their grading...
The Paragon guys all like the deep 1/2 gaurd, watch Jeff Glover or Bill Cooper fight. Glover also has an instructional out on the Deep 1/2 Guard. Here's the promo

I didn't see anything wrong with questioning the grading on this thread, it is all related. From reading the thread just about every post offers Andy congratulations on getting his BB; questions...
Well I wouldn't be too surprised, things change and people want their belts...
No, we're talking about a grading fee and having to pay to move on from one belt to the next. If there was a seminar then the seminar fee would be on top of the grading fee
What about charging for the belts (ie the grading and certificate) with the cost increasing with the belt rank? I have noticed several clubs in Sydney have started to do this. Has it become common...
Noob raises a valid point, one I happen to agree with.
On another completely unrelated topic, well done to the new BB
Looks like he would have had to do what Yuki Nakai did: win the Brown Belt division several times so the federation (ie Carlinos) hands over the belt
I know this is slightly off topic but relates to people entering competitions above their ranking.
When Ryan Hall broke away from Lloyd Irvin's (as a Brown Belt) could he have entered the Black...
Great news guys :D
Especially since Faber and Torres would fight at 135lbs
Would be good to see some of the lighter fighters getting some exposure though. Though from what I've heard, being selected on TUF depends...
"It always amazes me that people think Muay Thai and BJJ = MMA"-Rosi Sexton
Obviously Rosi has never heard of Anderson Silva
The way they work it in Australia seems to be ok: Blood testing, fighter registration with medicals, independents watchining the weigh-ins and fights, competitors fighting people who have roughly...
Good luck guys, looks like a good event
Not as controversial as actually spelling it correctly. They are from near Liverpool after all.
Even Boris Johnson, Lord Mayor of London had a dig at them a few years ago (Liverpool, not Wolf's...
Last time I went to Japan the instructor brings over this 13 year old orange belt, he was awesome. Scary good technique.
65kg-76kg Lightweight Division? That's a wide weight division. Guess if for any uncontracted fighters walking at 80kg that could be a good hit.
Shame they're not using NSAC weight divisions
You are correct indeed.
For Cahoon's sake I hope this fight is not a replay of the Manhoef bout.
