Thanks Rosi.
What kind of strengthening excercises specifically do you mean? I've seen some online where the object is to strenthen the tendon is the opposite motion to the injury? Is that...
I've recently started dealifting with a trapbar and find it a lot better/stronger form wise, however a lot of guys can't see past their Olympic bar and say the trapbar's not as good. (although their...
Anybody any experience of this?
I've got it. :( Not much help from GP either (he had to look it up on Wikipedia).
Found a couple of usful ways of strapping it online and thinking of trying KT...
I believe Terror on the Tay 2 is on the 25th August in Dundee mate.
I thought it was an excellent show and a lovely venue. Fighters/teams were particularly well taken care of and the show seemed to run very smoothly (the seminars were a nice touch too). Shooter's...
Just noticed "Johnny Quinn" on the card too. That's not THE John Quinn is it?
Any results/reviews?
Has the card been announced? People keep asking me!
Thanks for the help Rosi.
I'm in Dundee, but would be willing to travel to see a good practitioner who could help.
In the meantime I will research the info you have given me.
Thanks again

Hi,
Anybody had experience of patella tendonitis and how to heal/manage it. Pretty sure I have it in both knees and while not debilitating its a pain in the arse tbh.
I'm pretty old (41), have...
As always a top day at Brawl at the Bay!

Hi guys,
One of the young guys from our club (he's 16) will be visiting his aunt in Settle, Yorkshire for a week shortly. He is keen to train when he's down there. Does anybody train at and/or...
You guys still wanting an -68Kg semi-pro fighter? We have a guy who's fight ready at that weight who had another competition postponed recently. He would be very keen! :-)
You have PM mate.
What are the prices Mike?
:-)
What's the address and postcode of the venue mate? :-)
There's a good buzz about this at our club, several of the guys fancy it, and I think it will be good for everyone to get behind it.
I may even enter myself, even though I don't really have a...
You've got a PM mate.
:-)
I had this around 8-9 years ago.
Had several months of hard weekly thai sparring, so don't know if it was culmative or the result of a single kick.
Basically after the session one day my leg...
Yeah good points, especially the one about cuts. But do they actually cut you worse than, say elbows for example. I can remember some horrendous cuts caused by elbows, and even the 4 ounce gloves can...
Now you mention it mate, I seem to remember a few high kick KO's in Pride with boots on. That's my point, they didn't seem any worse or appear to do more damage than high kicks without boots!
Appreciate that they're not allowed under unified rules, just wondered why? Medical/technical reasons? or just biased because the majority of MMA players don't wear them and/or come from a Thai/BJJ...
Just thought I would get everyone's opinion on a subject dear to my heart, namely wearing wrestling boots while competing/training in MMA.
Is it feasable, and do they have a place or should they...
Cage or ring mate?
